Anyone else who doesn't care about Emily?

Okay, not to sound rude, but I really couldn't care less about this Emily woman. The woman is not a bad actress, but why are we supposed to care that a total stranger who none of us even know is dying of cancer? We don't even know Brad that well either...

Cancer isn't nice at all, I realise that. When Flynn had it, it was different. we saw how he had helped the town and what an awesome person he was, so when he died on cancer it was really sad :(

I like her character and she seems nice, but we dont know know her so its hard to feel too sad for her.

I dont like Brad and we hardly know him aswell,so when he got angry at Sally it was just anger i felt, she lost Flynn, she knows what it is like and more..If i knew Brad more i would of felt anger but sorrow and understanding aswell, but beacuse i dont know either of them, its hard to feel anything for them.

The thing is; we get introduced to this new character who, after only a few days of arriving, we discover is dying. We didn't even have time to get used to her being around so it's not that we don't care it's just we've not had time to feel anything. I do feel extremely sorry for Brad though.

If they were going to go down Rehash-Road, they probably should have made it so Emily was already dead when Brad came to SB. As it is i don't really care about this storyline so much, for me, it's making a bit of a mockery out of the Sally/Flynn storyline xx

When Emily was on in the Australian screens, the only thing I didnt like about her was her voice. Sorry, to the person that played her, but after awhile, it annoyed me!

to be honest, I do feel a tiny bit sorry for Brad and Emily but I think we all would have felt more for the storyline if we had seen it develop more. for example maybe seeing Brad and Emily together more before it happened or even just to get to know the characters more. I don't think it sound too harsh saying it didn't really upset you because we don't know these people.

rant over lol :)

Yeah but guys if you were just introduced to a man and his wife as Sally has, and then find out she is dieing of cancer are you telling me because you don’t know her you couldn’t empathise with her, we are all human and have a lot in common with each other even if we don’t know each other personally. We aren’t going on Emily’s journey, we are going on Brad and Sally’s, especially Sally’s – how she is coping with facing something which to her is all too personal. But we are too seeing how Emily is coping with such an illness. When this aired in Australia I actually enjoyed it and like how private this storyline was, to Sally Brad and Emily.

You get the feeling that Emily's purpose was to give Brad and Sally something in common as the chemistry between them in obvious.

What Emily went through is all to close home to me...it's been a year since my uncle died of Luekemia so my view is different.
