I'm glad its not on here on Christmas day Christmas day is for spending time with your family and playing or whatever with your new pressies. So really I don't think many people watch much telly on christmas day.

Yes but it's different in the UK. It's the dead of winter. Yes we are with our families but what are we doing? Sitting round the fire watching TV! (And opening pressies :P )

Yeh I agree there. We're not going to be doing anything drastic by taking half an hour (Or maybe an hour) out of our time to watch TV. Plus it's around that time (If you're up very early) that most of the family are asleep or washing up, would they really miss us?

I cant speak for others but us lot all spend xmas together but do our own separate things within the house..... maybe 3 will watch eastenders in the main room while one watches a film in the kitchen and another may watch whatever in the bedroom........

i personally do the same thing every year and that does include watching h&a if it is shown same ol routine a annual xmas day afternoon walk the soaps in the evening listen radio before bed txt people occasionally go out for a drink and so on.

I agree. It would probabaly be easier for them to drop the Friday episode rather than take it off air for 6 weeks! They could easily find something to replace it at 12noon and 6pm for one day a week.

Im wondering if they would persuade Five to take a shorter break in Oz? I know Five pay so much towards production dont they so they must have some say? Im sure FIVE would rather take a 4 week break than a 6 week break!

But then the Friday cliffhanger would be shown on a different day in the UK.

Well thats what i was saying itv dropped fridays, i would have imagine losing one episode a week is better than losing all 5 for weeks on end and having the shedules filled with rubbish the usual suspects that fill that slot at weekends are columbo etc...

im sure five gets a say to a small amount i expect Network 7 and prouduction have the majority vote/say... i doubt their share in the company is a huge one...

yep the cliffhanger would fall on a different day but the wedding explosion was a monday which was a shocker

using another example in eastenders den watts body was dug up on a monday xmas day is a monday and pauline is murdered and tom in emmerdale thats the way it goes many people would argue they dont like the wait anyway
