Luc Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 I've just been on imdb.com and i found this about many of the actors "Home and Away" .... Lucas Holden (33 episodes, 2005-2006) Lyn Collingwood .... Colleen Smart (48 episodes, 2005-2006) Ray Meagher .... Alf Stewart / ... (46 episodes, 1988-2006) Tim Campbell .... Dan Baker (43 episodes, 2004-2006) Mark Furze .... Ric Dalby (40 episodes, 2004-2006) Indiana Evans .... Matilda Hunter (37 episodes, 2004-2006) Paul O'Brien .... Jack Holden (39 episodes, 2005-2006) Chris Hemsworth .... Kim Hyde / ... (38 episodes, 2004-2006) Amy Mathews .... Rachel Armstrong (40 episodes, 2006) Holly Brisley .... Amanda Vale / ... (41 episodes, 2005-2006) Lynne McGranger .... Irene Roberts (51 episodes, 1992-2006) Ada Nicodemou .... Leah Patterson-Baker / ... (51 episodes, 2000-2006) Jodi Gordon .... Martha McKenzie / ... (92 episodes, 2005-2006) Jon Sivewright .... Tony Holden (39 episodes, 2005-2006) I hope they don't leave! I think Jodi might want to leave because her boyfriend has cancer, but the others, i hope they renew there contracts!
Ryan Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 For imdb purposes and probably depending on who is contributing/editing infromation to that particular show they seem to show the current year as the end point, so no doubt in 30 days they will all become 2007's.
starrychris Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 IMDB are not a reliable source, not much better than Wikipedia really.
Jack Holden Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 I cant imagine the entire cast will leave! Isnt Ray definately confirmed to be with the show for another few years at least?
freakybuffy Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Are their any reliable sources for HAA? I’ve heard that Alf and sally have signed a 5 years contract; Jack and Martha have signed 3 years (I think) not sure on the rest. I think Martha will leave for a while if and when her boyfriend gets really bad, but she will come back. Maybe the storyline will be something like her mum’s really sick so she goes to New York to her. But who knows.
MarMar Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Are their any reliable sources for HAA? No, not really, and I wouldn't go as far as others posters on here, saying that neither Wikipedia nor IMDB are reliable sources. What people seem too oblivious to remember is that both sites are basically written by fans and people in general. Just because there are moron H&A-fans writing crap on Wikipedia doesn't mean that the site of Wikipedia in general cannot be trusted! It all comes down to the people writing it, and I've found enough accurate facts and information on Wikipedia to trust that site. When it comes to more important stuff than H&A.
Emma_B Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 *gasps* More important stuff than HAA, Mar? Surely not! I agree with Mar, actually. Wikipedia is very a useful source for many things, but as it is written by "normal" people (i.e. not experts) it is riddled with rumours, and it is wise to take anything read on there with a very large pinch of salt.
MarMar Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Well, a lot of it is written by doctors and people you can consider "experts" in the field they're writing of. However, there are, to the better of my knowledge, no "experts" on H&A writing about it there. Just teenybopper-fans looking for an opportunity to have you all on.
Emma_B Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Yeha, that's what I meant. Actually, that post was expressed terribly. I intended to say "but as the HAA info is written by "normal" people..." A lot of the academic stuff is written by experts, but not the popular culture stuff like HAA, which is written by fans. I think I need to think before I "speak"
Eli Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 IMDB used to be much more reliable, but they changed a lot about six months ago. Just to mention an example they changed the system with the years, earlier you could actually see when someone's contract expired, but now they write them for one year at the time, if you know what I mean. I guess it could be because it caused a lot of spoilers. i.e Kim's information a year ago was "2004-2007" but now I think it's changed to "2004-2006". I don't think that made sense, sorry...
