Who's the next longest serving consistant character? Anyone know?

Irene's been in since 1992.

I'm a little surprised, I'd have thought Colleen would be in there somewhere, I'm guessing she must be gaining on Fisher then. Does anyone have any figures for main characters? I'd be interested to know.

I think Colleen had a few years gap before she came back in 1999,so i don't think she'd be to close to Donald and Irene though she's definitely up there with them somewhere.

Colleen is currently 9th if you add the total length of her various runs together.

Her current stint is the 4th longest of the current characters, and of the current characters, she was the 3rd to make an appearance.

Colleen was in the very early episodes but moved on and returned in the 1998-99 season therefore the part falls to irene for the fact she has been in it continuosly for 14 of 18 years of course donald was longer but left in the 2003 season.

i refer to continous roles not guest apperances if u included them you could arguably add pippa floss and celia and morag

From what i gather

continous longest serving alf episode 1-4330

sally 1-4330

irene 999-4330

donald 1-3***?? reoccuring in 4000

then you have the guests colleen throughout 1988-89 then again 99-present

celia 1-2**? and reoccuring there after

morag 3*- present reoccuring

floss 1- around 100 reoccuring there after

pippa 1-2***?

it depends if u include thoose who still occasionally turn up or you mean continous roles
