Isnt it 'Boss'???

See, i always thought it was 'bloss', because of her curly hair. I thought it was kinda a reference to 'cherry blossom' the doll who had curly hair.

But it could be 'boss', i'm not sure.

Colleen, Morag, Leah, Amanda and Ryan are all referred to their full names & I think Flynn was to.

I'd like to see people call Amanda Mandy, mainly because I think she would really hate it!

(I'm sure Brad calls Rachel Boss aswell)

To me it sounds like bloss.

Brad definitely calls Rachel "Bloss".

Just the other day in UK episodes, Beth called Matilda "Tilly", which I liked because that's what she always used to call her.

Yep Pippa is indeed short for Philippa (sp?)

I wonder if Brad is short for Bradley.

It is. I remember his mother referring to him as "her Bradley"

Is JUde short for anything? I always thought of it being a shortened name.

Carly...was that nicknamed?

Vinnie! Short for Vincent?

Was Gypsy her REAL name!?

Sorry, I don't know heaps about past characters...

Is 'VJ' Short for an ything?

Jude might be short for Julian (Like the Beatles song "Hey Jude" was written by Paul McCartney for John's son Julian Lennon).

Carly isn't short for anything as far as I know, Carly is a name in it's own right, it's the female form of Carl/Karl.

Vinnie is short for Vincent.

Yes, Gypsy was her real name, I think it's quite nice and definitely unusual.

VJ is Vincent Junior, as has been mentioned by a few people now.

In the past, Justine was often called "Jus" and Ailsa was often shortened to "Ails".

Also, VJ is quite often called "Veej"

Oh, and Vinnie used to call himself "The V Man" and he called Alf "Stewie" :D

Vinnie is definitely short for Vincent, because I didn't know that was his name until the 2003 (or 2004) episode where Leah thinks Vinnie is alive and then someone has bought her house for her, and when she calls the agent he says the house was bought by "a man called Vincent Patterson"

I don't think Jude is short for anything, it's a biblical name, like Noah. Remember their mum was very religious, and used it as a way of abusing them as children. That's why Noah used to get so defensive round religion (and why he and Hayley got married on the beach).
