Early Home and Away

I heard rumours that the new channel Five Life was going to show early episodes Home and away. Does anyone else heard this? Also do uknow if there are plans to show Early home and away again?

These roumers were circulated when the channel was talked about being launched but as much as I wish it were true I think its probably wishful thinking. It'd be great though...

Ye I think it would be great say if they showed the old Eps somewhere around 4:00 or something. Would be good because all my Tapes are a bit...broken

I don't think that it will happen (i wish it would) but i presume itv would still have the rights to early home and away

They could be waiting until next year to start showing them.

Re ITV's rights to early H&A, I believe they had the rights to an original run (including a repeat/omnibus) and one later rerun (I believe on ITV2).

Living TV (owned by Flextech not ITV) did an even later rerun so ITV clearly didn't have rights to those eps anymore. However ITV rerun stopped after a few years so there will be some eps from about 93-99 seasons that they do still have rights for. Plus Flextech may now have rights to some earlier eps from when they stopped showing them.

All v difficult for fives lawyers if they wanted to do a rerun.

Downunder tv have the rights to show the old episodes from the start, but the channel have gone dead and have not even started here in the uk.
