Thanks to Rach for her help Chapter ????? “Noooooooooooooo…” “I’m so sorry Martha, but please calm down for the baby’s sake. Take deep breaths, lets take you into a separate room” Rachel said. “I need my Abby. I need her,” Martha cried. “Martha come on, calm down. Deep breaths” Rachel repeated - Martha woke up; lying next to her in a cot was her baby. She looked around, and there was Jack asleep in a chair. She looked at the clock, it read: 10.50pm. She tried to move but a sudden pain hit her stomach. She heard noises outside the door and soon Nurse Julie and Rachel walked in. “Martha. Nice to see you’re awake now” Rachel tried to smile. She picked the baby up and handed her to Martha. “This is your little girl” Martha smiled down at the little baby, her brown eyes wide open looking up at her. “Hello beautiful” Martha said letting the baby wrap its hand around Martha’s little finger. “Do you have a name yet?” Julie asked “Amelia, Millie for short.” Martha smiled. “It’s gorgeous, it suits her as well” Jack said from the corner of the room. No one had noticed that he had woken up. He walked over to the bed and looked down at her. “I can’t wait until Abby gets to see her…” Martha said. She didn’t notice the look on Jack’s face. “Rachel when can I see Abby?” Martha asked. “Martha, you don’t remember?” Rachel said sadly. “Remember what?” “Abby…before…she passed away, im so sorry” Rachel said softly, the look on Martha’s face breaking her heart. “No, she didn’t, she can’t have…I saw her, my little girl she was lying in her bed.” Martha started. “Martha, you were so hysterical we had to sedate you, and we performed a caesarean for Millie. She’s not going to see her little sister, im sorry” Rachel said. Martha put Millie back in her cot before running over to Jack and hugging him. “My baby. She’s gone” Martha cried into his shirt. Rachel and Julie slowly left the room understanding that the grieving couple needed to be alone. Telling people news like that was so hard for Rachel, and when they were close friends it just made it even harder. “Our little girl…” “I know Martha, I know.” “We have to be strong for Ellis and Amie” Martha said. “They’re going to need us more than ever now” “They’re staying with Luc tonight. I called him and told him, he didn’t take it too well. I’ll go and talk to Amie properly tomorrow about it.” Jack replied. “Why us Jack? What did we ever do to deserve this?” Martha sobbed “I don’t know” “Our beautiful girl’s been taken away from us. It’s not fair…” Preview Flashback. But of what? That was hard to write, I just hope I did okay... Yet again the child has been given a name beginning with 'A'. But to me she'll always be Millie. Please R&R. All comments welcomed.
