Sam =) Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Id rather have a Home and Away Advent Calendar I deffinatly like the sound of that.
emmasi Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I think an advent callendar are those cardboard things with all the little doors on them that when you open the doors there's chocolate behind them. People use them to count down to Christmas, usually. You open one door each day until the 25th of December. I'd like to have a regular callandar. I don't know who I'd want on it exactly. Ah what the hell. I've got nothing better to do (other than and assignment...) January: Isabel February: Jason March: Amy April: Chris May: Mark June: Tim July: Rhys August: Jason and Isabel September: Chris and Amy October: Tim and Bobby November: Mark and Rhys December: Jason, Chris, and Isabel Maybe a little one-sided, but you get that Meanwhile, here's a desktop callandar I made for next February if anyone's interested. TabbyCool Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Whats an advent calender?? Just what I thought! We used to have advent calendars every year when me and my brother were little, not only did we have them at home, but we had them at our nanna's house too, so when we went to see her at the weekend we'd have 7 little doors to open, and 7 little chocolates to eat, yay! It's funny though, I was just saying in another thread how it's totally hypocritical for a lot of us to even celebrate Christmas at all, why do people who don't believe in God or Jesus celebrate the birth of Jesus? I know that for most of us it's just a traditional thing, but it's still hypocritical (I'm all too happy to admit that I'm a hypocrite!). Back on topic though, I was totally gutted when I was about 14 and my mother stopped buying me advent calendars!
