Ben’s POV

I was sitting on the beach listening to waves when Mr Armstrong came up to me.

“Ben, why weren’t you at school this morning?” He asked.

“I didn’t feel like it!” I snapped.

“Don’t speak to me like that!” He growled. “You are coming with me to school and we will have to call Kim and Rachel!”

“Good for you.” I muttered.

“And a week of detention to follow.” Mr Armstrong said.

I rolled my eyes and followed him to his car.

When I arrived at school, everyone stared at me, even teachers. I followed Mr Armstrong to his office and slumped on his chair.

“Sit up properly!” He snapped.

I just listened as he spoke to Rachel on the phone. When he hung up, Mr Armstrong left the office. A few minutes after he left, Baily and Lauren snuck into the office.

“What do you two want?” I asked.

“We want to know why you wagged.” Baily replied.

“I felt like it.” I said.

“This isn’t you Ben.” Lauren muttered.

“YOU DON’T KNOW WHO I AM!” I yelled.

Lauren and Baily just stared in shock as I continued to yell.

“I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO I AM AND IT’S YOUR PARENTS FAULT!”

Mr Armstrong ran into the office after hearing me yell.

“Ben that’s enough!” He growled.

“OH SHUT UP BRAD!” I yelled. “I HATE YOU, I HATE ALL OF YOU!”

Baily and Lauren both ran out in the verge of tears.

“I said that is enough Ben!” Mr Armstrong demanded.

I stopped yelling and tried to get my breath back.

“What was the meaning of that outburst?” He asked.

“None of your business.” I muttered.

“It is if it is causing you to act this way.” Brad replied.

Rachel then walked into the office.

“Oh Ben.” She sighed.

I just sat their in silence as Brad explained the situation to Rachel.

“I was going to go easy on you Ben but after your outburst I have no choice but to suspend you for one week.” Mr Armstrong stated.

Rachel said goodbye to Brad and we left the school. People still stared at me as I left.

“Why did you wag?” Rachel asked.

“I dunno.” I replied.

“That is not a good enough answer Ben.” Rachel said sternly. “You can talk to Kim and I whenever you need to.”

“I just feel like my life is useless. My whole life has been a lie.” I said, starting to cry. “I don’t even know who I am anymore.”

Rachel came over and hugged me. “It’s ok Ben. Things will get easier.”

“Thanks for all your support Rachel. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you.” I smiled.

Kim then ran into the house.

“What are you doing home so early?” Rachel asked.

“I just spoke to Alf. There is a cyclone coming to Summer Bay and it is due to hit tonight.” He said in a worried voice.

Someone's having issues. Jokes. I must say, him lashing out like that reminds me of angsty Harry Potter in Book 5.

He didn't have to lash out eventho he's feeling like that. Poor guy. I feel for him. And, really, you didn't have to make Brad look like a prick.

Lauren’s POV – (Soph’s)

“A cyclone?!” I asked shocked.

“Yes, now come on we have to cover all windows and doors…” Dad said, as he took my hand and pulled me into the living room, I saw Baily, run over and hugged her tightly.

“I’m so scared Bail…” I whispered.

“Me too, but it will be fine…”

My phone rang in my pocket, I pulled it out and read the caller-id –Rachel. Why was Rachel calling me?

“Hey Rach, WHAT? Oh My Gosh! Uhm…I don’t know…No I won’t…I’ll go look! Talk soon…” I flipped my phone down and ran towards the door, Baily followed.

“Loz, what’s going on?” Baily shouted through the loud pounding of the rain,

“Ben! He’s missing and Rach & Kim don’t know where he is…” I ran towards the beach, Baily caught up with me,

“We really shouldn’t be out in this…it’s getting worse Loz!” She shouted loudly.

“Bail! Our brother is missing!”

“He should have had the sense not to run out in this! And plus he’s changed, he doesn’t need us!” Baily replied.

I saw a figure up on the rocks, I started to run towards the person, as I got closer I realised that it was Ben.

“Ben! A cyclone is coming! We shouldn’t be out here!” I shouted at him.

“I know! So go! I didn’t ask you to come looking did I?” He replied angrily.

“Ben, we came out in this to help you, is that all you have to say?” Baily asked shocked.

“Yeah, now unless you want to get hurt, I suggest you leave right now!” He shouted.

“Loz, you heard him come on lets go!”

“I’m not leaving without you Ben, so come on!” I tugged at his arm but he shrugged me off, “Don’t touch me!”

I looked up at the electrical pole above us, and then noticed the crack in the middle of it…wait…was it going to fall?

“Guys, look! It’s going to fall!” I screamed. I stood painfully still, too scared to move,

“Loz!” Ben run fastly towards me, grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the way, just as the pole fell to the ground with a loud thud, electrical sparks flew everywhere,

“Argh!” I screeched.

“Are you ok?” Ben asked as he let go of my arm.

“Uh…I guess…”

“Guys, we really have to get home, it’s not safe here!” Baily shouted.

“You two go guys!” Ben shouted.

“You’re seriously going to stay out here? Did you not just see what happened?” Baily asked confused.

“Just go!”

“Ben you could die out here, just stop being so damn stubborn and come home! People care for you Ben!” Baily shouted louder than ever. The cyclone seemed closer, we needed to get out of here,

“There’s no one in my life that cares for me, my life really isn’t worth living! I don’t know who I am!” He replied.

“Guys…I think we have another problem!” I screamed.

That was drama. A whole lot of drama. But an interesting drama. Yet, Ben, I'm sorry but he's a prick. For going out and doing something as stupid like that. Especially in a cyclone. What was he thinking? Now everyone's going to get into trouble because of him.

Bailys Pov (Shannon)

I peered through the keyhole of the door and saw one of the trees in our front yard fall on top of our car. Before I could say anything mum pulled me away from the door and up against the wall. I didn’t get a chance to protest. Dad came downstairs pulling their king size mattress behind him. We all sat up against the wall away from the windows and doors, as Dad put the mattress in front of us. Lauren screamed as we heard a large crash coming from outside. I held Lauren close as the winds increased. Ben leaned up against the wall, hugging his knees to his chest. I couldn’t begin to imagine how he felt. Mum had her head resting on Dads shoulder. She was scared, not that I could blame her though, we all were. I could see through the small gap above my head that the lights were flickering on and off, I jumped slightly when the lights went off. We were in total darkness. Lauren began to cry quietly, I squeezed her hand. I was worried about Ben. He hadn’t made a sound.

“Bail,” Lauren sobbed into my shoulder. I pulled her closer as another large crash came from outside.

“Ben?” I called out, he didn’t reply. I was worried about him, but there was nothing I could do about it now. Mum, Lauren and I screamed as the door blew off its hinges, I don’t know where it ended up but it caused a lot of noise.

“Mum!” I screamed, the wind had just picked up and now we could hear a lot more banging now that the door wasn’t there anymore. I heard Ben whimper, I glanced towards Mum, and Lauren wasn’t next to me.

“Wait... Lauren... isn’t there,” I said to myself,” Mum!” I screamed. How had Lauren gotten away without me knowing!? I crawled out from behind the mattress and was immediately struck down with a branch that must have blown in. I forced myself to stand up, I could hear mum calling for me to go back with them. I couldn’t, not without my sister. I could feel a lump on my shoulder from where the branch struck. I put my hand on my shoulder and immediately pulled it away, it hurt too much. I pushed past random pieces of tree and stuff till I reached the kitchen, she wasn’t there. I searched through the whole bottom floor and couldn’t find her. I ran up the stairs.

“Lauren,” I screamed as I had reached the top of the stairs. I could hear her crying, but I couldn’t see her. I threw open her bedroom door and spotted her. She was leaning up against her bedroom wall in tears. I ran to her side and hugged her.

“Lauren, don’t do that!” She looked up and me and wiped a few tears away from her cheeks.

“We have to get cover, it’s getting stronger,” I shouted, I didn’t mean to shout at her, but the noise from outside and the winds, I had to for her to hear me. Lauren nodded. I took her hand as we headed back down to everyone else. Lauren and I were at the bottom of the stairs; Lauren was in front of me. I heard a thump, I looked up. It was another branch and it was heading right for Lauren. I quickly pushed Lauren aside; I didn’t get a chance to make another move. My feet were glued to the spot as the large tree branch hit me.

Please excuse this "writing". Twas hard to write about a cyclone!

Ben’s POV

I was sitting behind the couch silently. I was scared but I didn’t want to show it. I heard a scream from upstairs. Jeff and Elaine stood up and ran upstairs. As I continued to sit on the ground, I heard the window shatter. I covered my face so the glass didn’t hit me. As I sat there, my mobile started to ring; it was Rachel.

“Hello?” I yelled. “Hi Rachel. Yeah I’m fine; I’m at Baily and Lauren’s. Of course I’ll be careful. Ok, bye.”

I hung up the phone just as Lauren ran down.

“Ben, we need your help.” She cried.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“A huge tree branch has fallen on Baily and we can’t get it off.” Lauren explained.

I got up and ran to her.

“It’s gonna be ok Loz.” I said, smiling.

We ran into the bathroom to find Elaine and Jeff trying really hard to get the branch off. I went over and tried to help life the branch off. Baily was screaming in agony.

“It’s ok sweetie.” Elaine said in tears. “We will get this off you."

We kept attempting to get the branch off with no luck. As we continued to try, it started to rain.

“Great.” Jeff mumbled.

Lauren went over and held Baily’s hand. Elaine came to help get the tree branch off. The rain and wind started to get stronger.

“We don’t have much time!” I yelled.

Jeff and Elaine looked at each other

“On the count of three, we will all try and push the tree off.” Jeff yelled.

We all got ready to push the tree branch.

“1-2-3!”

We all pushed really hard. It slowly started to move. We kept pushing the tree. Baily screamed in pain. We kept pushing until it was finally off. Jeff and Elaine both carried Baily down the stairs. The rain turned to hail and the wind got even stronger. Lauren and I ran down the stairs and hid behind the couch. Baily was already sitting there crying.

“It’s gonna be ok sis.” Loz said to her.

Baily just nodded and continued to cry. As we were sitting on the ground, a broom came flying through the window and went into the wall.

“This is so scary.” Lauren whispered.

Baily and Lauren held each other tight as the wind continued to pick up. Elaine brought in the first aid kit to look at Baily’s leg and Jeff came down with some mattresses and blankets.

“Rug up guys.” He yelled.

We each wrapped a blanket around us. Elaine put some bandages on Baily’s legs.

“How does that feel?” Elaine asked.

“I can’t feel anything mum.” Baily cried. “I can’t feel my legs.”

Lauren hugged her as she cried. I felt completely useless. All I was doing was sitting there. Baily looked at me and I smiled sympathetically.

“Ben.” She said. “Can you come over to me?”

I crawled over to her and she hugged me.

“I care about you lots Ben.” Baily sobbed.

“I know.” I replied. “I know.”

Lauren also hugged me tightly

“We will get through this together.” I promised.

After a few hours, the cyclone started to settle down.

“I think the worst of the storm is over.” Elaine smiled.

“Thank goodness for that.” Jeff said. “I didn’t know how much more of the cyclone I could take.”

If there was one thing the cyclone had taught me, it was how much Baily and Lauren meant to me.

Aw, those chapters were so sad. Can't believe no one told me it's been updated.... My goodness, I swear, my heart was racing the whole time I was reading both the chapters.

I'm glad that at least Bail, Loz and Ben reconciled. It's so awesome.... Altho, how ironic is it that it takes a life threatening situation to know just how much someone means to you?

That was an awesome chapter, guys. It definitely rocked. Nicely done.
