Didn't quite like Ben's chapter. It was a bit too rushed for my liking. Sorry but that's the truth.

Aw, poor Loz. Love the whole Bails, Loz and Luc talk. And it's so cool how they've accepted Ben as their brother. It's so cute.

Bailys Pov (Shannon)

I had been awake for almost an hour but, was still debating whether or not to get out of bed. I was so nice and warm there snuggled under the covers. I know I had a lunch date with Drew in a few hours. I rolled over and reached out to my radio turned it on. Some random rap hip hop song began to play. I groaned and turned it back off. I threw my legs over the edge of the bed and shivered as a cold breeze hit my legs.

“You twit,” I muttered to myself as I realised I had accidentally slept with the window wide open.

Just then Lauren came rushing into my room screeching something about Lucas. I glanced up at her. She seemed overly excited and unlike me dressed. Lauren reached down and grabbed my arm, pulling me up. I half lent against her as my legs were still half asleep and not ready to be fully used.

“I just got off the phone from Lucas!” she said happily grinning.

“Please tell me you’re not getting married.”

“Bail!”

“What?” I asked her innocently as I stood up and stretched my arms.

“He’s invited me out for dinner at a fancy restaurant in Yabby Creek!”

I laughed. Lauren walked over and shut my window.

“It’s freezing in here,”

“Yeah. I accidentally slept with it open last night.”

“Twit,”

“Yeah.” I agreed.

“I still cant believe Ben is our brother,” she said changing the subject.

“Me either, why did Mum and Dad just give him away, we would have been about 3 at the time, why didn’t we know…”

“I don’t know, I guess that’s up to Ben to ask them, if he wants to that is,”

I nodded. I don’t think we will ever know why it happened.

“Bail!” I heard someone shout from the street. I looked out my window and saw Drew there. I laughed then I opened the window and smiled at him.

“Sorry, I’m early; I couldn’t want any longer to see you.”

“Aww, lovebirds,” Loz laughed as she left shutting my door behind her.

“I’m not even dressed yet,”

“I’ll wait I don’t mind.” He grinned as he sat down on the front lawn. I shut my window and giggled. Now what to wear, I thought to myself.

Ben’s POV (Nic)

“Ready to go home?” Kim asked me.

“I sure am. Thank you so much for letting me move into your house.” I said.

“No worries. It will be great to have someone else in our house.”

Rachel walked in with a sheet of paper.

“You just need to sign this and you can go.” She said.

I signed the piece of paper and Kim grabbed my bags.

“Let’s go.” Rachel smiled.

We arrived at Kim and Rachel’s house and saw Beth sweeping up the leaves.

“Hi Ben.” She greeted.

“Hi Mrs. Hunter.” I replied.

“Please, call me Beth.”

Mattie came outside and when I waved to her, she started blushing.

“Tilly, come and greet Ben.” Beth called out.

Mattie came over and mumbled “Hi.”

She had suddenly become unusually nervous. I think it was because she was around Beth.

“We are gonna take your stuff inside.” Kim said. “You can hang out with your friends if you want.”

“Thanks Kim.”

Kim and Rachel walked inside.

“I’m gonna go and read my woman’s weekly magazine to catch up on the latest gossip on Bec Hewitt.” Beth laughed before walking inside.

“Sooooo, wanna go on that date now?” I asked Mattie.

“I thought you’d never ask.” Mattie giggled.

When Mattie and I walked into the Diner, Baily, Lauren, Lucas and Drew were all sitting together.

“Can we go somewhere else?” I asked, looking at Lauren and Lucas making out.

“If you want.” Mattie replied. “Is everything ok?”

“It’s fine. I just want us to have time alone.”

“You’re so sweet.” Mattie complimented.

“Why thank you. Why don’t we get a hamper and go to the beach for a picnic?” I suggested.

“I love your thinking.” Mattie smiled. “I’ll get the hamper.

When Mattie went to get the hamper, Baily came up to me.

“Hey Ben.” She said.

“Hi. How are you?”

“I’m good. Are you feeling better?”

“Heaps better. It’s good to see you all having fun together.”

“Would you like to join us?” Baily asked.

“No thanks. Mattie and I are going to the beach for a picnic.” I replied “Thanks for the offer though.”

“I know it’s weird us being related but we are gonna have to deal with it.”

“I am dealing with it. I just wanna spend some time with Mattie.”

“Are you sure that’s all it is?”

“Positive. Now I’ll let you go back to everyone.” I said, forcing a smile.

“I’ll see you soon.” Baily replied before walking off.

Mattie came over with the hamper and said “Ready to go?”

“Defiantly.” I replied.

By the time we found the perfect spot to set up the picnic, the hot food had started to go cold.

“Damn.” Mattie muttered.

“Don’t worry about it.” I said.

“I wanted this picnic to be perfect.”

“As long as I’m with you, it is perfect.”

Mattie and I looked at each other in the eyes and then kissed for a few seconds.

“Are you sure about this?” I asked.

“I couldn’t be any surer.” Mattie replied and then she kissed me again.

After a few minutes, Mattie and I stopped kissing.

“That felt so right.” Mattie smiled.

“I agree.” I said, smiling back.

Baily and Lauren came over to us.

“Can we help you?” I asked.

“We need to talk to you.” Baily said.

“I’m kinda busy at the moment.”

“We are not taking no for an answer.” Lauren stated.

“I’ll take this stuff home and I’ll speak to you later.” Mattie said.

Mattie walked off and I felt really annoyed.

“This better be good!” I snapped.

Lauren’s POV (Sophie)

“So you and Maddie seem to be getting along well” I smiled as I sat down next to Ben.

“Cut the small talk and just get to the point” Ben sighed, I looked over at Baily, she shrugged, this wasn’t the Ben we knew, he’d changed…

“Ben, we were thinking maybe we should all go and speak to mum and dad…” Baily said quietly.

“Yeah, maybe it’s the best thing to do, we all need to know the truth…” I said finishing Baily’s sentence, Ben just sat there saying nothing, “Ben?”

“Are you done?” He asked angrily, “I don’t need to see them, thinking about it, I don’t need to see you either!”

“Ben? Why are you being like this?” Baily said loudly.

“Urgh, I just don’t need this right now!” He looked at me before he got up and walked away.

“Well…that didn’t go too well…” Baily said quietly.

“Yeh, Bails…it’s because of what happened between me and him, it has to be, I mean why would he be acting like that otherwise?” I sighed, as Baily hugged me, I looked down at my watch, “Let’s go home…even though all this has happened, I still have lunch with Lucas and his family to look forward to!” I smiled.

“So you’re sure I look ok?” I asked Baily for the millionth time, I’d changed like a zillion times, but I now had decided on a black strappy dress, with a glittery shrug, not to make the outfit look ‘too’ dressy…

“Yes, Loz you’re only going next door!” She laughed.

“Lauren, you look lovely, where are you going?” I turned to see Mum standing there,

“Yeah, like you care! See you later Bails” I smiled as I pushed pass mum on my way out.

I walked downstairs and looked at myself in the mirror by the doorway; I re-did my lip-gloss just as Mum walked down the stairs,

“Lauren, I don’t want it to be like this,” she said softly.

“Maybe you should of thought about that before you decided to keep our brother a secret!” I opened the door and slammed it behind me, I looked up to Baily’s window, she was standing there with a small smile on her face, ‘good luck’ she mouthed, I smiled back.

I got to Lucas’ front door and knocked quietly, Beth swung open the door,

“Hello Lauren” She said as she ushered me through the door and then gestured to the sofa, “Have a seat, dinner will be ready soon” She smiled happily.

I sat down on the sofa next to Tony who was reading today’s paper, “Hey Tony, how’s Jack feeling?” I asked curiously,

“Hey, yeah he’s ok, healing well as always!” He grinned, I heard someone walk up behind us, I turned to see Lucas standing there,

“Hey babe” He said softly, I got up and hugged him, I guess it was probably better to hug him, being in front of his parents and all!

“Hey guys, you can sit down now, Lauren your next to me and opposite to Lucas” Beth instructed me, I smiled reassuringly.

It was all going well so far, too well I thought to myself…

Ben and Mattie are cute..... His reaction is typical.... Good chapter....

I must say, I like this chapter coz there's not a lot of drama.... Considering that big one that's just been revealed.

Bailys Pov (Shannon)

I was so not looking forward to school. I think the only reason I actually got out of bed this morning was because I knew I would run into Drew during the day. Even if I had stayed in bed, Lauren would have come and dragged me out one way or another. Everything about school was so... hate able. Whoever invented it should be shot, I thought. I spent about an hour getting ready; I had to look my best, for Drew’s sake. Lauren and I walked together to till we reached the school gates. Lauren went off with Lucas, to one of the benches. I looked around for Drew, but I couldn’t spot him anywhere. I sighed and headed towards my first class. I still had ten minutes before it started though.

“Baily?” I heard Matilda’s voice. I spun around and noticed she was walking towards me with Cassie by her side. Sometimes I think those two are joined at the hip.

“Yeah?” I replied.

“Have you seen Ben around?” Matilda asked me. I think she was still beating herself up about the accident.

“Not today, I haven’t seen him.”

“Damn, if you do, can you let him know I said hey and that I might call him later tonight?”

I nodded. Cassie and Matilda both walked off talking to one another down the hall. I walked down to my locker and opened it; there was a photo of Drew on the inside of the door along with one of Lauren and I taken a few years back. I smiled at the photo of Drew. It was my favorite one of him. I took out my history textbook and shut it. As I turned around I glanced up and saw Drew walk towards me.

“Hey,” I called out as I hurried towards him.

“Hey Baily,” he replied. He didn’t look very well.

“Are you okay?” I asked him as I gave him a hug.

“I just feel a bit sick is all, I'm fine though.”

“I hope so.” I replied just as the school bell rang. I gave him a quick peck on the check and hurried off to my class, I didn’t want to be late.

I spent most of my dull history lesson drawing pictures in my notebook. Who wants to learn about World War Two? It was a massive yawn. Who cares if Japan bombed America? I mean yeah America would care, but that was years ago. I slammed my notebook shut and rushed out of the classroom. I couldn’t stand another minute in there listening to Mr. Armstrong ramble on about the War. I don’t think he even knew what he was talking about. I checked my timetable and noticed I had Math’s next. I groaned and headed to my locker again.

“Bail,” Lauren called out as she came up behind he and tapped me on the shoulder.

“Yeah?” I asked her turning around.

“Guess who has a hot date with Lucas?”

“You, you’re dating him.”

“Yeah I know, but its still exciting. A date!” she said dreamily. I think she is lovesick. Not that I lovesick or anything...

That was an okayish chapter.... Too much of Baily/Luc... More about Baily/Drew. Hope Drew's okay...

And, it's a little too short for my liking.... I expected a long chapter, Shan.

And, learning about WW II is interesting.
