Maybe there will be another stalker returns storyline next year, and we will get a full explaination of the Tracy/Zoe story and how they met!

But then again that would just be too much stalker related stuff! Over 3 years worth!!

Yep it would be boring by then

Yep or I'll Kill torture the writers. Or atleast somebody should hallucinate and the 'hallucinatic' Zoe and Tracey explain everything. But hallucinations arnt the same :(

I read on the H&A website that for timing reasons nothing could be shown about the dimise of Zoe and Tracy (something to that effect), but they did die in the fire. Also shots of them dead weren't aired because they were to grusome. http://seven.com.au/homeandaway/feat_general_youasked

Hope this helps, somewhere near the middle of the Q&A session.

I've posted this umpteen times but I'll post it again (because I'm so sure of it) :P

The "excuse" that the explanation of Zoe and Tracey's backstory was cut for timing reasons is just that - an excuse. It was never written and never filmed.

Interestingly no mention was made of anything important being cut until after the complaints came flooding in. Then suddenly "Oh yeah we did write all that, but it was cut". Mmm-hmm.

Add to that, there was plenty of other, completely unimportant, completely unnecessary stuff going on in the episode that was inexplicably kept in, while the climax to the sequel to the biggest storyline of the previous year, which had been building for almost 3 months, was just snipped out without a second's thought? Doesn't seem likely does it?... No, didn't think so.

Furthermore any hints being made that censorship was due to the fact Zoe and Tracy were lesbians is just... there isn't enough space to list the reasons why that just isn't plausible. But the main ones would be: It wasn't a problem last year when references were made to Zoe and Sarah. It wasn't a problem this year with Dean and his boyfriend. It wasn't a problem in 1996 (In Aus) with Shannon and Mandy. It wasn't a problem in Neighbours with Sky and that girl.

Now, let's look at the preceeding and following storylines of the wedding disaster.

Preceeding:

Stalker build up. Zoe made an extremely minimal amount of appearances. Not enough, in my opinion, to even constitue it as a storyline. She was just a plot device used to keep viewers tuned in and "cash in" on the success of last year's storyline. None of the characters apart from Peter were really involved, especially those who should have been MUCH more affected like Sally. And if you think about what actually happened during this period, apart from Peter running around chasing rainbows, very, very little. So no, it wasn't a storyline. It was badly written twaddle.

Following:

The storyline following the wedding disaster gave us LOST. A storyline which nobody liked and nobody wanted. For weeks fans suffered this ludicrious prattle, only to finally see a really good episode come out of it. But it was short lived, as the next day Amanda got a pain in her leg and before you could blink all the characters were in hospital safe and sound. So it was back to ridicule again. Because there's not much else you can do with a storyline like that.

So, what does this have to do with the Zoe/Tracey scene being cut? I'll tell you. Adding to the original points I made above (which alone should raise serious doubt over the "scenes were cut" issue), the fact that all the storylines surrounding this episode were equally poor and badly written, with no depth, thought, or emotion, should only further convince you that it is most probable any meaningful scenes about Zoe and Tracey were never written or filmed to begin with.

Excellent post my friend!

I was thinking the exact same thing regarding the apparent censorship issues; Dean and Gareth were all over each other AND the episode after the explosion aftermath a nurse could detailedly discuss Tasha's privates when she thought she was going into labour (or whatever those aches were).

I think Zoe should've been scene trashing the apartments and setting her little jokes up (well, the ones she didn't hire that guy to do), Sally should've been focused on more and some scenes regarding Flynn etc. (I think they did one - big whoop!).

They should've called her Eve. And I think they should've brought Clare back and have her as the accomplice as it wouldn've explained a lot in itself as to how she survived/escaped.

As much as I love Tracey, I didn't see much need for her other than to arouse suspicion and be an excuse for Zoe's escape at the wedding reception - they should've filmed one episode of the wedding and have the cliffhanger be Zoe arrive and then have an extra one with a hostage situation (like Sarah's siege) where they explain everything in flashback and THEN have the aftermath episodes.

If they had done it properly I wouldn't mind if Zoe died in the fire (because, let's face it, she had to, didn't she?). I just hope that they've done this deliberately to bring her back again if ratings fall etc. although as much as I'd love that, they left it too long now.

They should've made the pyro turn out to be Zoe/TT - at last they would've had a decent motive! It was only speculated that Rice was working for Gillan - another cheap climax.
