-ParaisGal- Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Jack and Mac renewing vows, even though already been suggested.

Fair enough I just thought I was being attacked for posting in the wrong section again, as in what is a spoiler and what isnt? I used to post a lot more frequently.. not your fault

Robina Fox Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Season finales don't really affect us in the UK - we have Home and Away all the year round. Neighbours is sometimes off (Wimbledon fortnight, for example), but not H & A. I don't know if we are still catching up after the huge hiatus when we switched stations. I have sometimes noticed a timelime gap, when several weeks have passed between episodes - is that typical of post-season finales? I suppose the choice is between dramatic cliffhanger finales, when you have to wait to see who lives and who dies; more personal cliffhangers involving one character's fate; or a happy community occasion like a wedding. If it it was me, I'd probably alternate them. Knowing soap operas, they probably combine them!

In the UK we're about 5 months behind, and since we don't have gaps, Season Finales don't really do much. I think last year, if I remember correctly, there was no gap between the finale and the premiere of the next season.
James Martin Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 There's a 6 week gap from 2004 to 2005, which made from some interesting CAs on Five - we left before Xmas on Friday then went to New Year on Monday! (And a different show altogether some might say!) Ideal finale? 2004's. That said, I think it should be set on Christmas eve. Get a couple that every viewer in the world wants to get together, around September time. Run loads of near misses for 10/11 weeks. Lots of will she tell him, won't she tell him/will he tell her, won't she tell her? Both fancy each other but don't think the other fancies them back. Etc, etc. Then she tells him everything on Xmas eve. They kiss. In the snow... oh, wait (!) The end.
SfanS Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Hah! You can dream. I don't know but- BREAK M&J UP!!!!! They r driving me mad! Maybe a tsunami, yeah. They do live right near the beach but...NO! They aren't on a plate. Are they? Don't mind me, we can dream, but scientifcally, it would be a bit hard for a tidal wave to happen, as the earthquake comes from the plates when they move, but I didn't think Summer Bay was on a plate! Whatever, we can dream. And its H&A anything can happen! I reckon, Rach and Kims wedding, there's either a fire ( been there done that) but I prefer an earthquake, and the building collapses! I know, another disaster at a wedding, but the whole Bay's together that way. Also, has anyone but me notcied how home and away ignores Christmas? They just don't have it! Have you noticed that? Also, last season finale (the cyclone) they said one residfent dies. No one died! Sorry, I wrote a lot, but hey, I have a lot to say!
