I am sorry if I am asking this in the wrong place.

I have always been a fan of Steven and Selina. The only problem is that I started watching Home and Away just after they got together in 1996.

I know that they had an affair but I am rather confused about why they broke up. I know that Steven offered to resign and Selina stopped him. I have never understood why they broke up then.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Selina was kidnapped by Saul on her wedding day. After she returned they realised they just were not meant to be married, then Steven and Selina starred in special episode filmed in England where I think they might have got back together but when Steven returned later (for the 2002 cruise ship disaster I think ) it was revealed he married someone else.

Thank you. Steven revealed he had married someone else when he returned for Sally's wedding to Flynn.

I meant the breakup when Steven was still Selina's teacher. It was aired in England about June 1996. Why did Steven break up with Selina that time, please?

I actually have it on video, however I feel it was quite non-eventful, that was until Donald Fisher found out and there was pretty much a huge shaming. Though that was when Stephen left the Bay.

They initially broke up because Stephen felt like it was too big a risk and the situation was getting too complicated, people getting too close to wary etc. He ended up dating random women and kissing Kelly and things as a distraction, and Selena met Jesse.

When Chloe came back just before she died she did say that they were back together. It seems to be the only relationship from the past that we get information about.

Jesse has changed so much...he looked like a scruffy kid when he first turned up.
