xGlowingAngelx Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 ^Exactly! And I think that's around the same time I stopped watching Neighbours too,.
carmelle Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 I used to watch both Neighbours and Home and Away, but now it's just Home and Away when ever i get the chance. Neighbours isn't what it used to be, i dunno may be it's because I've always prefered Home and Away anyway, but there's something about it that makes me not wanna watch it (at times). The only thing with H and A is that I wish Five would show it at some later time, just because it would be more convenient for ME. Not many people that I know watch it and i reckon the time it's shown at has a lot to do with it. It's a shame really cause people are missing out. Oh well!
Truthisrealfreedom Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 This year's Season Finale of Neighbours left a lot to be desired... it had to be the most boring, dull episode with no lead up or tension building. And to go immediately from the last scene to the credits was just annoying? The last couple of years Neighbours has been 'cheapening'. The sets, the costumes, the actors.... I feel like its going backwards instead of forwards. I do like some storylines because they are light and not emotionally demanding all the time and then other times I feel so embarrassed that other countries are watching this show and thinking that's how us Aussies are in real life!!!!
alexx Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I just found an episode on tape from just two years ago, and I couldn’t believe how (as you say) ‘cheap’ the show looks these days in comparison. The camera quality is the same as two years ago, yet due to a new lighting arrangement and crap new fake looking sets, the whole thing looks really low-budget now. The old sets, lighting, coffee shop, lassiters exterior and underscore was so much classier and your right it makes it look like they are going backwards instead of forwards.
freakybuffy Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Hi can’t remember which tread I read this is, so I thought o would put it in this 1! I remember reading an neighboursrox saying HAA is rubbish and neighbours is great or words to those affects put just reading UK’s soap mag called inside soap page 13 and I quote “neighbours often attracts only half the audience of HAA, so a drastic change is needed to spruce things up”. Now does this sound like uk viewer prefer to watch neighbours over HAA? I don’t think so!
