Most people either laugh if I say I watch HAA or say *whiney voice* "I watch neighbours. If HAA was on BBC1 and Neighbours was on Channel 5 it would be the other way round.

I think H&A is the best soap, but I dont like it as much because my favourte actors have left I dont watch H&A anymore because of that reason but that being said I dont watch Tv only like once in a month I spend my time on the computer, I used to be a huge fanof the show like 3-4 years back because of dani, kirsty and the sutherlands it was never a miss ^_^^_^ to be honest I dont find much interest at all in the actors now so to me its kind of getting boring, the same with neghbours though I prefer the old actors who are still on H&A

Tv is just getting boring and boring, all soaps and I have to admit H&A as well is going down on its own but its still 100% better then the other soaps :D Dam it I miss H&A back in the old days lol and that being said I dont mean 90s like 2000-2004 because thats when my fans were around  and i generally loved the show

Alot of H/A haters are Neighbours lovers.

I just point out how badly Neighbours rates in Australia compared to H/A and they shut up!

In the UK that statistic is reversed, isn't it?

Yep. I think it helps that Neighbours is shown on, what's probably, the most popular British channel - BBC One (who have, incidentally, just introduced a new, crappy, set of idents), whereas Home and Away is on Five...I would say that Five have a slightly different viewer demographic. :P

I don’t get it!!! I said to someone work today that I watched H&A they laughed in my face saying it’s the worst soap ever. :( I asked have you ever seen it, she said NO. How dare people judge, when they haven’t took the time out to watch it. At least people can relate more to H&A than any other soap. Life is not just about drugs, murder and affairs. I always say to people watch it, before you judge. At least then they might no what they are taking about.

If people like neighbours they should like H&A is exactly the same apart from one set at the beach and one’s in a little town.

Mine neighbours fans would know what storylines are going up soon! As they are a few months behind! Wouldn’t they?

Sorry that’s so bitchy but true! :D

I like H&A and the it is a good way to wind down after a day at work.

Some people do kind of smirk if I say I watch it but that is there problem. I am the one who pays the TV licence so I shall watch whatever I want to watch!!

All my friends bar three hate home and away but they've never seen an episode I get annoyed when they pay out my shows just because I don't like shows like super natural no offence to anyone here who likes it. I respect their taste they should respect mine.

People in the UK seem to be of the general opinion that Home & Away is a kids' soap and that adults who watch it are a bit sad. Funnily enough though, many of the people who think this are actually Neighbours fans. I don't know if it's because Home & Away is on Five, which generally has a bit of a crap reputation, or if it's some bizarre other reason, but there are so many people who think Home & Away is rubbish when they've never even watched it! It's much better than Neighbours in my opinion, I stopped watching Neighbours a couple of years ago because I got to the stage where I found every single character to be immensely irritating!
