WTF!

This is the first I've heard about this. I'm really pissed off. Why the delay, when they've already released promos?

Does this mean the next two movies after this one will be pushed back as well?

The delay is basically to do with their fear of losing freaking money. They don't think they 'need' anymore apparently after the success The Dark Night was. Bull****. They just feel threatened, they don't think it'll become a number one hit if they release it in November. There's no major movies coming out in July, and there's a Hollywood festival or something on so they know they can take out the #1 spot. They know what will happen, it'll get leaked and they'll lose millions. Good riddance.

But no, the other two movies are still coming out as scheduled. But I wouldn't put it past them...

From what I've heard the real reason for them putting the date back is due to Daniel appearring in the stage show, where he's naked. The film has been in post production for ages, They started to film it, last November, so it was before the Writers strikes started and I can't see them starting to film it, without a full script, so I don't believe that for a second.

I really don't believe that they didn't want to have it out the same time as the Dark Knight, as people would still go and see it no matter when and what else came out with it.

I really hope they get there acts together and bring it out when it should be 21st November!

I read an article where it said that they didn't want it to come the same time as TDK becaue it made so much money and they didn't need any more. I don't believe that for a second.

lol What sort of company doesn't want more money! I read yesterday that there's going to be a boycot at WB in USA and people are trying to sort something out wolrdwide! I can't se it working like. As I think once they've made there minds up that will be it! But fingers crossed it works.

Like that's going to help. This is the Harry Potter Filmmakers we're talking about :P Another movie has taken HPs place though, so I can't see them messing up even more schedules. I say let it be and leak a lovely HQ copy for us all to download, enjoy and then send in smirk emails :P

It's been bad enough waiting 16 months between them. And now they want to add on another 8 how shocking is that. They will of finished filming Part 1 of the DH's by them. I hope your right, it was great reading the book before I got it. So I'd love to see the flim that way. As it saves me taking a day off work to see it on the first showing! :)

The way it got explained to me was, because of the writers strike they didn't have many blockbuster movies ready to be released next (American) summer, which is why they're holding off Harry Potter. Movies take ages to film and edit and do all the special effects and stuff, so if no one wrote any scripts in preparation for the summer season, they'd be totally screwed, but because Harry Potter is English, it must not have been effected. I mean, it still sux that the rest of the world has to suffer just to keep America happy, but from America's point of view I can see how it makes sense. IF indeed I have any of these facts straight, which I probably don't.

I heard that it is in deed because of the writer's strike. It means that there will be a lack of films coming out next summer and so they have decided to take advantage of this by bringing out Harry Potter then.
