Why do that? The story and image of the character was perfect.

She should have just left it. Children were happy with everything. Leave them with their innocence!

I'm not saying that being Gay is wrong. I'm pro-gay. I just think that the children should be left with a neutral image of Dumbledore, not one that has a serious topic attached. Get me?

I get what you're saying Cal, but it was kind of nice hearing about them after it's done. I like hearing what the book didn't tell us in that final chapter.

Couldn't agree more Cal

As for telling her admiring readers about the sexual preference of Professor Dumbledore, she said: "I had to give you something to talk about for the next 10 years ... Just imagine the fan fiction now."

XD

Oh God, she has NO idea how true that is...

Well, there was subtext with Grindewald but as it was all so long ago, and most of it was second-hand information, I didn't give it too much thought. Who she SHOULD have outed was Remus and Sirius... but you know... if she's so casual about outing Dumbledore... she should have no problem outing Remus and Sirius... so... :(

Ugh. I feel so disillusioned. Cal, you're absolutely right. She should have kept it to herself! *cries*

^ Now that its been said there's not a lot you can do unfortunately. However I think it adds to the mystery behind Dumbledore. He's a character that is well admired and respected, and somewho Harry has complete trust in. It was brought out a lot in the 7th book, how little Harry actually knew about him, so this just adds to that. As long as they don't make it a big deal in the 7th movie, I think I'll be happy.

I don't know about a big deal, but if there are any flashbacks to young Dumbledore and Grindewald (and being a movie, I suppose there will be - having someone READ about it on film for ages could get really really boring...) it might be nice to have some obvious SUBtext, now that we know... because Harry's still not meant to know... but we do, so if there were a few passionate glances and such, it might add to what we, the audience, know to be the truth of the situation. But I'm not saying they should be making out or anything... cause no one said anything about that in the book. It would be kind of weird.

However, if they'd like to have Sirius and Remus all over each other when Harry sees them again, I for one won't be complaining. (Not that Oldman and Thewlis particularly do it for me, but you know what I mean.)

Okay kids, who here likes the Harry/Draco slash?

WARNING: MILD SEX SCENES USED FROM QaF :P

I knew if I ever watched a Harry/Draco Slash Video I'd pay for it.
