(Of course I already know they were, but confirmation would be nice.) 2. Will Draco change sides, and if so, will Harry accept it? 3. Do Draco and Hermione like each other ? 4. Where do Snapes loyalties really lie? 5. Where do Dumbledore's loyalties really lie...? I bet you're wondering about number 5... but I've just always wondered why he set out to educate the most deadly wizard in history on how to develop and channel his powers to their full potential... Could be an interesting twist... Not sure how it would work exactly, but it'd be interesting!
Jess Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Snape had a thing for Lily??? I never knew that. What a butt I will alwayz hate Snape for killing Dumbledore. Even if he is working as a double agent, i'll still hate him. Good theory though Jess I always got the impression from OotP that Snape's "worst memory" wasn't that he was being taunted by James (as is implied in the film), Snape could probably handle it, it's the fact that he lost Lily. I know it's sad but, really, Dumbledore had to go. For one thing, it's kinda the convention in this genre of books that the hero has to 'go it alone', so to speak, and Dumbledore trusted Snape and his trust has never been misplaced before (he trusted Sirius and Hagrid when popular opinion didn't), so I think we're expected to trust him, too. So Voldemort sparing Lily's life was Snape's "reward", hence it being made known to Harry that his mother had the chance to "step aside" to save herself, but she didn't - she saved her son, instead.... This theory would also go some way towards explaining Snape's animosity towards Harry, and James. I don't like this theory. ... I LOVE it! It's going to be sad to think that after this book we will never again have our various speculations confirmed... Still, I guess that's what fic is for. Heh, glad you like it, Jem. I know, I'm torn on this one; 'cause, like, I want all my questions to be answered (which it doesn't look like will happen if this leak turns out to be true) but, at the same time, you can have too much of a good thing, right? Oooh, the confusion. Well, in 12 hours and 50 minutes we'll find out either way.

I like a good pre-release spoiler or two as much as the next person, but I draw the line at actually reading carpet!book. Besides, if people want it that badly, they'll find it - without you posting links.
