It definately is.

Having seen the movie today, I can say it definately wasn't my favourite film. If you are a fan of the books, I believe you will be disapointed. Whilst the acting and performance from the cast especially Daniel and Emma is outstanding the actual storyline is lacking. Those of you who know the book will quickly pick up on the what i believe to be major differences and the inconsistences. Bits of storylines which i think are important were skipped and the order of events were greatly changed around.

The movie isn't bad, its just the great changes from the novel which I cannot handle. Especially during the Ministry of Magic bits at the end of the novel/movie.

^That's making me look forward to seeing it more :P.

Strangely enough, I'm actually starting to wish the ridiculously self-endulgent director of HP3 was on board. He started some stuff with the characters in that movie that I think he would have liked to wrap up in this one.

i.e. I believe he went out of his way to portray Sirius and Remus as lovers, so if that was the case, he probably would have changed Sirius' death scene to involve Remus shaking him violently to wake him up, and then balling his eyes out when he couldn't... Sure it would clash with Cedric's death in the last one, but the HP3 director wouldn't mind that. In fact, I doubt he would have bothered to see HP4. Obviously didn't watch 1 or 2 before making 3...

I actually pictures Sirus, when i first read the third book, as a younger looking, tall, dark hair, pretty eyes, basically a heaps good looking guy. I was heaps disappointed when Gary Oldman got the role. But oh well.

OMG im going to be crying in the 6th movie, i cried when i read the book :(

I'm half way through HP6 now and I think I'm going to see the movie on Tuesday. I'm only a newbie to HP-fandom but my fave book would have to be GOF (I haven't seen the movie though).

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. :)

Loved the movie!! Would have loved it more if I hadn't read the book, because they did change quite a lot of things. But it was still fantastic. Dan's acting was fantastic. But they're overusing Emma. Giving her lines that (in the book) belonged to Ginny and Ron... It was weird.
