c120701 Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Episode 4121 of Home and Away by Sam Meikle, which was the episode in which the character of Flynn Saunders died has won the Television Serial AWGIE. As some of you probably know, AWGIE's are given for the original script, not the finished episode, so whilst Joel McIlroy and Kate Ritchie did an amazing job in the episode, this award is purely down to Sam Meikle's work on the script. So congratulations Sam.
emmasi Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Nice Now I feel bad that I didn't open all those emails newsletters that the AWG people have been sending me... I could have been informed!
Foxy Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 .....the immature part of me always giggles at the name of this award. Very deserved, a definite high point of not only 2006, but of the show overall.
dnp52td Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Sam Meikle also produced a short film Tempany was in back in 2000, called Melancholy! good on him! talented guy

emmasi Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Apologies H&A, but "Cop Ya" kicked ass. I hope it wins everything! Of course, I haven't seen the bare scripts... so... hm. Well... may the best script win.
c120701 Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 The award is well won, excellent. They haven't won yet.
