Characters you didn't like

Graham - he was ok once he made up with Beth, but the way he totally fell for Amanda's little game was cringeworthy, he actually thought that she genuinely loved him, when she was so obviously faking it! He was a really stubborn character which made him a bit annoying.

Corey - even when he first came to the show and was meant to be all nice, I couldn't stand him!

Tom Nash - he was just so dull and a bit goofy. Never did warm to him.

Duncan - Ugh! Spoiled brat of the century, like all of the Sutherlands rolled into one, then some! I was so glad when he left!

Sam - he was ok when he was little, but when he came back with all his surfer mates and slept with Hayley, I didn't like him then, he was so arrogant I could have punched him!

Robbie Hunter- I won't go on on and on here, because I have asassinated his character on numerous occasions already, but to sum up my basic points: He flits between being big-headed and irratating to just plain wet, whiny and pathetic. His relationship with Tasha is vomit-inducing. And the shouting is too much too handle. A terrible shame really, becasue I actually really liked his character in the beginning. I thought he was a true individual, quirky and cool and had plenty of potential. Gosh, that seems an age ago now....It is alarming how much hatre dhe inspires in me these days...

Every Sutherland-Won't bother much with Dani, because again, that has been done to death, but, yes, basically she was a whiny, pathetic, self-absorbed princess etc etc. Jade was a sanctimonious, holier-than-thou little brat whom I always seem to find myself wanting to reach into the screen and throttle for some reason or other....Shelley was cold hard bitch with a fake smile that gave me the creeps. She simply did not possess even a shred of that warmth that the other Summer Bay mother figures seem to come equipped with as standard (Beth, Irene, Pippa, Sally etc..), yet they tried to pass her off as that type of character. Kirsty was ok some of the time.... annoying and self-absorbed most of the time....Rhys quite simply gave the creeps. Max was a supefluity.

Collectively they hogged screentime and did nothing to justify any of it. They were very difficult to warm to.....or even to give two figs about really. I am very glad they are no more.

Peter Baker- All he does these days is make "mysterious" phonecalls and wander in and out of the police station aimlessly. I suspect he is wearing that permanant frown because he is missing Jesse. Still, terrible waste of a character.

Oh, and he puts his hands on his hips too much. What's up with that?

Kane - Tsk.... Pathetic bad boy gone good. Doesn't deserve to be liked IMO

Kirsty Sutherland - I think first of all she annoyed me with the whole Seb/Nick thing. (Not that I can remember it.. lol) Then the Kane thing. How can you forgive your sisters rapist?

Alex Or Alexi?? (Leah's brother) - He just wound me up. I never liked him... and I don't know why. Maybe it was because he went around a lot of girls... I don't know. I'm sorry, can't give a reason. I just remember something about Hayley that really annoyed me.

Barry - After the whole 'killing Kim's mum' incident I just don't like him. I know they explained it and stuff... but he's still a murderer in my eyes. And that stupid fight he had with Kim... very unbelievable. I mean, if the actors had a fight in real life, I wonder who would win.... *hmmm*

Cassie - Howcome everytime Ric tells her he loves her, he's suddenly being selfish?? She just whines and is a bit over dramatic. But.. then again, I'm warming up to her a bit.

Josie - She looked like Angie, and I hated Angie. Simple.

Oh, and Irene didn't trust her. Anyone that my Reeney doesn't trust, I don't trust. :)

Tasha - The newest addition! Most of you will all know why. I can't say the reason, because I'm not allowed. I can say other smaller reasons though.

With the whole believers storyline she drove me up the wall. I was thinking about stepping through the screen and giving her a good ol' slap. (Unfortunately, it wasn't possible) The way she suddenly dropped everyone... pfft. I know she'd been sucked in but I still can't see how she could forget all her friends, and just believe this Jonah guy. She was sneaky around Robbie, and he didn't deserve it. :(

And I don't like her because she liked Josie. :)

*steals from TabbyCool* Sorry but you reminded me!

Graham - My god. He was funny at first, because I thought we were going to see a bit of a storyline involving Tony that wasn't rotating around one of his sons. But... then I just got disappointed. He got zapped in by Ze Evil Amanda, (who I hate, but doubt I'm allowed to rant about) and just did as he was told. No one's that stupid. He just abandoned his whole family! Tsk!! Really did my head in. Then he had to go and die without telling people about Amanda!! Idiot or what? lol

DUNCAN!! - Oh, my goody god!! How could I forget Duncan? That idiotic, little, brat! I hate him. God do i hate him... lol. Really annoys me. I can't get my words out... you know why I don't like him... he's just... GRR! When he stole Robbie's car, when he did whatever he did to Tasha... and before that! He's always been a brat. But.. that's what he's supposed to be.

God I hate him! Lol.

I like to moan. :)

Dudette, you just wrapped up my thoughts and handed them to me in a doggy bag. That is exactly how I feel about both characters :o

This is a difficult one because i think i find storylines more irritating that the characters themselves. To be honest there is only a couple of current characters who i dislike and they are:

Belle - I just find myself uninterested in her storylines, so much so that i sometimes fast forward her scenes. I don't really know the reason for my dislike. I can't really go into specifics here for spolier reasons but I think that she does what she wants and is a very selfish person who doesn't really consider other peoples feelings.

Amanda - I have hated her from the beginning. The things that she has done since she came to summer bay are unforgiveable and even when she is nice I find it unbelieveable. The way she manipulated scott and the hunters into believing that Kit had turned back to alcohol started my major hatred of her i think!

I can't really think of many characters from the past. The only ones that i didn't really like were Liam and Stephanie. Liam was just a nothing character and Stephanie was supposed to be from somalia but had an Australian accent! <_<

The other one was Natalie Nash. I didn't mind her when the first actress played her for some reason but I wasnt a fan of the second actress's portrayal of Natalie. And when she had an affair and got pregnant that was it for me! Poor joel :(

How could I forget:

Amanda

OK, So at first I hates her guts. The way she tried to sabotage Dan and Leahs' wedding was bang out of order, and I won't mention All the times she used Ryan to get at Dan. Who does that with their own son?! Eventually I softened to her, and then the whole Josh and Graham storylines came about and she went right back down. All she seemed to care about was money. What kind of mother is she? She never considered Ryan in any of her 'deals'!

Cassie - She is too whinny and bratty. When she arrived I liked her, the whole storyline about her suffering abuse was good I thought, a little done to death but I thought Sharni acted well and I warmed to the character. But now she is a clone, she is a bit of a 'nothing' character to me now, we have Matilda and Belle, is there really a purpose for Cassie anymore?

Oh and why haven't the producers put a stop to her increasingly turning herself that gruesome OTT orange shade? When she stands next to the others she looks ridiculous!

Duncan - BAD ACTOR and completely one toned. All I can say is can anyone really think of anything goo to say about him? ..... Go on ..... really?

Tony - It's not the actors fault but he is just there to make up the numbers and be a partner for Beth. It makes me angry as I really like Beth but she is becoming as bland as Tony is and that is the main reason why I don't like him, if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have mentioned him as he is just a 'nothing'

Greg Marshall - Ok, I didn't hate him but much the same with Tony he dragged others down. My favourite ever is Bobby. Not long after Greg was on the scene Bobby then seemed to form part of the 'adult' character range in the Bay, while this would always be inevitable he was just always there where Bobby was. Bobby could have been left with Sam and been ok, she was a strong, feisty character and did not need Greg. Don't get me wrong, he did not ruin Bobby's character, it's just that her last 18 months on the show up until her death centred around 'run of the mill' storylines playing happy families with Greg and Bobby who I am sure many people on here who remember that period of H&A was worth more than that.

Anyway I know I have rambled, but I guess what I am trying to get across is that its not necessicarily always the characters themselves that I take a dislike to, its the situations and changes they cause to other characters that are liked. But hey, I guess that is the reason we don't like them!

Oh dear I have just answered my own question really, I am shutting up now

I hope I make a tiny bit of sense!

It does seem very easy to create incredibly dull male characters compared to female ones, especially if they are over 20.

Alf

Neville

Don

Tom

Michael

Nick

Luke

Greg

Rob

Travis

Ken

Harry

Joel

Jude

Rhys

Flynn

Barry

Tony

Dan

Peter

Slightly older male characters, how many turned out to be boring?
