'Bother' was probably the wrong word to use. I just meant that it is noticeable that there is an age difference between the actors rather than having a problem with two people of different ages going out or marrying. Just wanted to come from a different angle about the age thing to branch out from the teenagers and move the discussion onto something new

I agree with Natasha, Beth and Tony are a great couple! (As you can see from my avatar!) :)

Going off the subject of teenagers a bit here but one of the things that bothers me a bit in Home and Away is the obvious age difference between the actors who play Beth and Tony. I didn't really notice it too much in the beginning but I do now for some reason. I think the characters are both supposed to be about the same age (46/47-ish I reckon) but actually Jon Sivewright is 41 and Clarissa house is 52, nearly 53. Just wondered what other people thought? <_<

Well Tony said in tonights epsidoe in Aus. that he was forty!!! OMG Clarissa is 52? She doesn't look it!!!!

I think it is more of a conveince to ahve a group of friends in the same yeaR!!

The Robbie thing has confused me no end....he turned 18 quite a while ago (uk timing)......yet for some reason is still in school. I thought he and Tasha had finished out school around the time she joined the believers....because for the entire length of that story, Robbie did not once go to school. So I assumed that that was the summer holidays after they had finished school (because Rob was definitely 18 at the time).

I think this has been discussed in the past...has anybody ever managed to work it out? Did he fail his exams and repeat because of the Believers fiasco? Has this ever been addressed in the show?? The whole thing is dead confusing....

No idea. When Robbie first started on the show wasn't he in the same year as Kirsty, Jade, Seb etc? If so, then even if he was held back a year, surely he should have finished by now? Saying that, we are 4 months behind Aussie episodes, so maybe it's his last year at school, but they've just gone back after half term or something? I'm not sure when Aussie schools have their holidays, but it must be Robbie's last year by now. Also, I know Tasha is pregnant, but shouldn't she be at school too? She is the same age as Robbie isn't she? So she should be at least going for a little while until her pregnancy has gone nearer to full-term. Maybe then she could do school work from home or something? Unless she has decided not to finish school, but none of this stuff has ever been mentioned as far as I know.

Robbie was doing a paper for school a week ago, when he lost his work and said aload of things that tasha overheard,so he must be there but they are only showing him when he is needed to be seen there...

Thinking about it..was it a week ago? i have been watching so much old home and away im lost lol..

Im sure it wasnt that long ago..

I think that was about 2 weeks ago. Robbie was doing an important assignment for his HSE, so I assume it's his last year. I hope so, it seems like he's been at school forever, it's about time he left!

Yeah there was no reason why robbie would of had to repeat a year..the believers stuff didnt last that long even if he never went to school at that time..so this must be his last.

But there isnt much of a reason for tasha not to go to school..although she has had of alonger amount of time off which may mean she would have to repeat and by then she would of had the baby,so maybe thats the reason she isnt at school.

Forty?! Forty?! But he has a son in his early twenties! Are you sure that's right? I'd say 45, with Beth two or three years older. We know she had her kids young because she married Jack when she was still a teenager and her parents disapproved.

I think so much has been going on with Robbie and Tasha lately that the writers have forgotton they haven't finished school yet! They should have finished ages ago cos they were in the same year as Kirsty weren't they?

Another thing - If Tony said he was 40 on today's episode and jack was 24 on an epsiode just over a month ago then that would make Tony only 16 when Jack was born! I think the writers need to do their sums before they finalise the scripts! I know that it is not out of the question for Tony to be that age but if he was it would have been mentioned by now surely.

Yeah, Tony never mentioned having kids so young, if he's only meant to be 40, then the writers haven't thought this one out too well!

When did Kirsty leave school? Was it 2004? I think Robbie was kept back for some reason, no idea why, considering he was always meant to be such a genius! I could understand Tash being held back a year, after all, she did grow up in the bush and would have understandably been a bit behind the other kids her age, but I can't see why Robbie would be kept back.
