doesnt it show flynn looking directly at the camara because that is literally what the character is doing as he is making some sort of a film to say goodbye to all his loved ones?

Yep, that's correct.

Maybe the cyclone or storm coming to the bay is actually Zoe!? Like remember when they used to call Josie "Cyclone Josie!". lol. I doubt that though. But that massive climax could be Zoe too. Oooh... can't wait!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Wasn't Cyclone Josie a cyclone in real life, that caused alot of trouble and damage? I think that's why they gave Josie the nick name Cyclone Josie because of the damage she caused lol... They promoted Zoe again in tonights episode, i pretty much doubt its a dream. But she looks freaky when she looks towards the camera to give us that feel. Maybe that shot isn't even in the episode maybe its just a shot to promote she's coming back, if you get what i mean.

Well, tonights promo gave me a feeling of Déjà-vous.

Again they promoted the fact that they are "Leaving the Biggest Shock until last", and flashed up another picture of Emily Perry looking straight down the barrel.

By Friday, there's going to be no shock factor left at all.

Not unless they want a fine from the Broadcasting Authority.

Yeah, but why would ZOE be looking directly at the camera in a normal scene? It is obviously a dream/tape she made/memory or something

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes, exactly. In television and cinema, looking straight at the camera for a normal scene is taboo.

It is often used in point of view shots (where you see what a character is looking at). eg in this case, perhaps someone is looking directly at Zoe walking to them.

Or as we saw tonight, when Flynn was recording his message to his family, looking straight into the camera, we saw the shots that they would see when watching his tape.

As an aside, in conventional films, it is also used to convey the telling of truth. eg: If the actor is looking at the camera, whatever he says is accepted as being true... It is a testimony or a confession.

Or a farewell.

Does anyone remember what happened in one of the final scenes of A Country Practise ( the real one, not the cheap knock version on 10)?

It was really nice what shane porteus did.
