To me, so many of the characters have changed:

Ric - Who would have thought that the school bully would become best friends with the boy he used to bully sister? And, even more so, become a grown up (ish) young man who dotes on hs family.

I don't think Martha's changed that much, I mean she's still the confident young woman she was when she arrived. She's just.... not as active.

Ric's change is believable to me,he was being beaten by his father,but i did find it abit sudden that he went to alf,him living at the saunders house was also believable,he didnt get on with flynn for awhile beacuse he thought he was upsetting sally..

But then he changed..he could be himself and didnt have to act all tough.

I think in my opinion cassie changed the most and in a very short amount of time..her nan did die and she finally told people what her uncle did to her,but she just lost her daredevil side.

Yeah Martha used to have this indepedant, feisty streak that was great. Recently that has been totally lost, it's a real shame, they should def. bring it back. Cassie too needs to show her daredevil side more - I really loved that about her character. They always bland characters down. I agree with what someone else said somewhere about Martha becoming single and fun-loving again - that would totally suit her character. Not to mention she needs a job!
