I am watching old home and aways i tape and kane has just been diagnosed with cancer, kirsty is studying for her exams and ric is bullying henry.

Anyway the things i wanted to know.

Dan told leah about amanda and leah asked kim and nick(through hayley) about her,kim then gave her a magazine with her picture in,that wasnt amanda..

So my first question was,was the picture amanda at all? or was it amanda but they didnt think they would bring the character in so just used any picture? or did the actress in the picture not want to be in home and away when they wanted her in so casted someone else?

Another Question is when hayley gave leah the info that nick told her, about her ex(dan)being violent.

I thought they broke up beacuse of gambling..and is the violence thing true?

I have watched H&A for years and have been re-watching episodes for awhile, but i dont think the amanda picture was explained at all,but the dan question might of been but i dont remember..can anyone give me some answers..

Thanks :D

I think the Amanda picture was just used as a one off. They didn't think to use her as a character at the time. Back then Beaven was in charge, when Amanda came Dan was. I remember the picture, she was a brunette :P

Leah confronted Dan about the report of Dan being violent to Amanda. Dan said that Amanda often made up lies and stories to get attention. (Need I say more??) :P

Dan began gambling (I think it was to fund something for Ryan initially??) then the strain got too much for Amanda and she had affairs (Peter was one of them) and that led to their break-up. They officially divorced in the first week of the 18th season (2005 for Oz, June 2005 for UK).
