Foxy Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 I think what Foxy is saying is that an adopted child will treat their adopted family the same way in which anyone else would treat their biological family. They share the same kind of love and have the same kind of relationship as any other family would, and for all legal and social reasons, they are classed as a "normal" family. However, the fact that they are not biologically related and share no bloodline does not mean that they love eachother any less, although they are not actually related. Family is more than just a shared bloodline for a lot of people, and just because you view someone as being your family, that doesn't actually make you related. We all have aunts or uncles who are family by marriage only, we see them as family, but they are not actually related to us at all, even though we have been brought up to see them as family. Thank, you managed to phrase that far better than I did!
ste Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Whichever I cant be bothered anymore LOL - foxy is agreeing with you! He is just phrasing it differently (more intelligently). The only one causing the disagreement is you - over nothing!

PrincessDani Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Yeah Macca and Martha are brother and sister despite not being related. its the same with Ric and Cassie. That's why I find it a bit strange that they're together.
TabbyCool Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Yeah Macca and Martha are brother and sister despite not being related. its the same with Ric and Cassie. That's why I find it a bit strange that they're together. But Ric and Cassie weren't brought up together, it's a totally different situation to Martha and Macca, who were brought up as brother and sister. Ric and Cassie were 15 when they met eachother and they were friends before Cassie moved in. They aren't brother and sister and don't view eachother in that way.
