Line of the week! UK version

Even though the scene itself was far from funny, I did find this little bit amusing.

After Sasha finds John collapsed.

Sasha: (Trying phone) It's dead.

Her brother (Forgot name): So's he, I think.

I doubt anyone else found it amusing, but the boy said it so bluntly and matter-of-factly.

I think that's what is called black humour.

[Merlin]

Alf to Colleen, after she was rescued from the school:

Alf: You didn't get a belt on the head or anything?

Colleen: No, Alf, I'm alright on that front.

Alf (muttering): That's what I was afraid of.

[Red Ranger 1]

Charlie: "Want to tell us what happened?"

Hammer: "I fell over."

Georgie: "What, like fifteen times?"

Felix: That's okay, they hate me.

The line itself wasn't funny, but the reaction I laughed at. Indi's face, the way Sid turned to stare at him and Sasha laughing. I found it amusing.

[Merlin]

Leah: Come on, who doesn't like a protesting pregnant lady?

Miles: The father of a protesting pregnant lady's child.

[Red Ranger 1]

Alf: "This reminds me of an old boxing adage.The bigger they are..."

Roo: "The harder they fall."

Alf: "The harder you hit 'em."

Colleen: "I hope you're not the tearaway you used to be."

Gypsy: "No, totally reformed.What about you, given up gossiping?"

Alf: "Why is it so difficult for young people to think about the next generation?"

Xavier: "Because we're too busy revising!"

My award to Lily this week, who showed a brilliant bit of comic timing to Gypsy when she came in dressed to kill for Liam's gig -

Gypsy - "Well, how do I look?"

Lily - "Like a try hard."

Two crackers from Wednesday's episode, and both involving Dex and Sasha:

Dex: 'Alicia is in Grade 10 as well, Alicia this is my sister Sasha.'

Alicia: 'Hi, nice to meet you. I'd shake you're had but..!' (motions to coffee and purse in her hands)

Sasha: 'Hot pink, Fuchsia, nice!'

Alicia: 'Thanks!'

Sasha: 'So Alicia can tell me, are there any hot guys in our grade?'

Alicia: 'Erm..'

Sasha: 'And what are the teachers like?'

Alicia: 'Er..'

Sasha: 'So do you totally love surfing for class sport? And wait... Who Does Your Hair?!'

Alicia: 'I do..'

Sasha: 'Don't worry we are going to talk about it all in the library OK, we are totes going to be BFF's forever. See ya.'

Alicia: 'OK, can't wait..'

Later once Sasha has met Stu.

Dex: 'The guy is not nice, he's a bad boy, a River Boy.'

Sasha: 'What's a River Boy?'

Dex: 'He flaunts authority, walks around like he owns the world, does what he likes when he likes... (Sasha looks interested)

.. my point here is that he is a real Church Mouse, really boring, very nice to everybody er, practically blends in with everyone else, he's like wallpaper. OK Straight A's..'

Sasha: 'Nice try, but you had me at Bad Boy.'

Dexter, leaving a phone message for Sasha: "Dad just got home and you're not here, again, which means I'm about to die!"

John to Gina and Roo in the Surf Club (don't remember the exact wording):

"Someone needs to teach those Braxton Hicks a lesson"

Quite subtle , but made me laugh - I'm guessing it may have passed anyone who hasn't experienced Braxton Hicks by!
