Was Sophie is biological daughter of was she adopted like Bobby? When people adopt someone don't they have to have no criminal record? That would practically wipe out Half the Home & Away cast past and present as potential adoptive parents. Adoption I think is a big issue in Australia so thats why its in Home & Away a lot along with eating disorders, cancer, alcoholics abusive marriages or abused children. why do you say its a big issue in australia like??

dncllpyk Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Id say adoption is a big issue in Australia its been in Neighbours aswell. Terrance Donovan is Jason Donovans father he played Scott Robinson in Neighbours. Also Steph McIntosh who plays Sky is Jasons half sister.

Don't know really, I've only ever known one person who was adopted, so I don't know how common it is here.

When a woman has an unwanted pregnancy she has options to either abort the baby or put it up for adoption. So I'm assuming this may be a reason why adoption is a big issue and is in Home & Away alot.

In the UK, abortion is legal, so if people really don't want a baby/can't cope with having a baby they don't have to have one, which would logically lead to less kids being put up for adoption.

But she has the option of putting it up for a adoption. But yes your right if abortion is legal were she lives she dosent have to have it.
