You have to remember that each episode is not meant to represent a single day. Some episodes, such as court cases, can represent only a few hours of a day, with the rest of the day being shown in the previous episode, whereas other episodes cover the end of one day and the start of the next. The show isn't shown 365 days a year, so each episode can't depict the events of a single day. I don't think we're really meant to put so much thought into it though!

It's useful to remember that the pace of the show does not go at the same pace as real life.

Sometimes one day in Summer Bay can cover more than one episode, likewise we can sometimes get two Summer Bay days in one episode.

ETA: Whoops, I started writing before Tabby's post

Also, in some cases we can skip days like the days between Flynn's death and Flynn's funeral were never shown.

Yeah, that was really odd, in the funeral episode they mentioned that it had been 4 days since Flynn's death, and I was like "no it hasn't, it was yesterday!". Crazy show! I suppose it was out of respect for Flynn, you could hardly show everyone going on as normal the day after he had died, so they just skipped straight to the funeral instead. Still seemed a little odd though.

I like it that H&A misses days, goes through at times 3 days in one episode... It's more realistic in that way too... It’s like a film; a film can cover a few days or up to a few months, and decades... I don't see it as 'crazy' or strange, plus its always been like that.
