loobieloo Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Does anyone remember the episode when tasha was locked in the tin shed in the believers camp and she set fire to it? Well when she started the fire what was she hopeing it would achieve? I thought that it was to burn down the shed so she could get out but then I realised that it was metal so wouldnt burn down anyway! Does anyone know what she was trying to do?
ste Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 She was simply hoping to create smoke hoping that passers by would see it and come to her rescue. Either that or she knew that when the Believers saw the fire they would have no choice but to open the door and let her out. I think her primary thoughts were simply that anything was better than being locked in a shed by a bunch of crazy people. She didn't really consider that it could go wrong.
Foxy Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 I don't think she ever intended to cause the amount of fire she did. It was initially all about the smoke signals, and it was only when she knocked something that things got out of hand - so she hadn't really hoped to acheive anything with a large scale fire.
tonywilson Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 See this is one of the things I had a problem with in that storyline. Tasha is supposed to be a survivalist who knows how too survive in desperate situations and yet everything she did during her kidnapping just seemed to make things worse. Oh well, I guess you could could say it was due to the effect of the brainwashing.
alexx Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Yeah but she was in a venerable state she had never before been in – and she had her innocence taken advantage of, by everyone involved in that cult. I doubt she felt in control at all. (At first I thought this was about the Bait shop fire in 2000!

Oh well, I guess you could could say it was due to the effect of the brainwashing. This was nothing like any of the situations she'd been in in the past though. This time, it was her against a huge group of people who would stop at nothing to keep her locked up. Most of it was just bad luck, not error on her part. She tried to text for help, but her battery went flat, she made an excuse about seeing Irene, but Jonah made it too difficult for her to leave, and after that she was chained up for most of it. What could she possibly have done?!
