Lilone Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 On the channel 5 website their is a forum and a moderator has just posted this 'A new channel called Five Life is launched on freeview this Autumn. Home and Away fans will find it very exciting!' I hope the omnibus(sp?) is back when the new channel is launched. I know we allready know about the 'new channel' but I thought I would post it because they did say we would find it 'very exciting'
Lee's lil lass Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Or it could be old episodes being shown again.....if five have the rights to show the really old ones. But it'll be cool to have the omnibus back!!
ste Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 I suspect it means they will be showing reruns from the year 2000 episodes onwards (when they started showing H&A) but you never know just maybe they have aquired the rights to the very early episodes.
Ryan Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Since Five Life is on Freeview, could different rights be involved?
Lilone Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Since Five Life is on Freeview, could different rights be involved? Will it only be on free view
Andy Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Five's new digital channels - Five Life and Five US - which are set to launch in the autumn, are to be broadcast from Red Bee Media's Broadcast Centre. Five will kick off its launch into digital and video-on-demand with its hit American import 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' taking centre stage on new digital channel Five US. The broadcaster has signed a deal with the series producer Alliance Atlantis to license certain episodes of the show on a second window and exclusive VOD rights for the hugely popular 'CSI' franchise. The secondary rights deal will include certain exclusive access to current and past episodes of all three series. Five US will provide a range of US programming, while Five Life will broadcast programming aimed at children and women. The broadcaster also plans to make both channels available on cable and satellite. Source: Televisual & Brand Republic, 18 Jul 06
Guest Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Why don't you guys have Shortland Street as we got Home And Away and Neigbours
Mez83 Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 They did years ago, but it didn't get ratings so they pulled it.

Pierced Musie Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 But Valky just made me go all hyper with that. Five US means repeats of The Shield. If that is the case then I don't have to order the boxsets right now. Yes, I am more interest in that than H&A episodes. Unless they are old H&A episodes
