ste Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Is that in the Drop in Centre when she speaks to Flynn about people she loves leaving her – I distinctly remember her saying ‘Tom, Michael…Even Pippa’. Sally has to be one of the greatest characters - her insecurities and such a long history, you really do believe she is real - I think Kate see's her as someone very close to her. I think over the past couple of years since being with Flynn and with her job, she has become much more confident which is good, but I kind of miss insecure Sally. I think Sally is the character they are most careful what they do with, because she's so real they don't want to ruin it.
alexx Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Yeah she’s definitely grown in confidence, but it’s kinda been a natural long winding change and consistent with her character traits – like you said since Flynn and the school, and her age, and baby Pippa. I think she respects Pippa (mum Pippa) so much and has kinda used her as a role model in her life, which again is quite natural – she always did look up to her, I like that about their relationship, the respect they have for each other and the obvious closeness. I also miss some of Sally’s insecurities, I hope they are explored again, because I’m sure she still has them regarding certain issues and things, but they are getting buried as she gains confidence in other areas, plus she is well liked now, and I remember a time when she felt she wasn’t. I'm sure after everything she has been through and still goes through, that self doubt and insecurity will arise, it has to surely. She seems to repress the negatives in her life, (as did Pippa to a certain extent) and she comes across as quite hard on herself when she does shed a tear or show signs of weakness, which she wasn’t so secretive about when she was younger.
