Tillybilly Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 i kept meaning to put this on here but then always forgot.remember when ages ago sally had ocd i think it was when she constantly washed her hands???well i think its brilliant that they sort of touched up on it (maybe without noticing) that she had to obsessivly keep doin housework when flynn died.i saw it as signs of her ocd coming back or maybe it was just a coping mechanism that most people went through.
Tulip Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 Yeah, I think it was a good kind of flashback. Maybe it'll be something that Sally will keep coming back to.
alexx Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 Yeah your right, they did touch on it. They have actually touched on it a number of times since the first diagnosis. OCD is something that is constant, it will never disappear for the person that has it, and it usually takes something drastic or overwhelming to bring it back, usually something beyond the persons control. It is controlled with the use of medication, and we are under the impression sally still takes her medication (Angie hid the tablets from her during her twisted time on the show). Sally had it after the Kieran disaster, it then came back (as we saw) when Sally and Brodie were held ‘hostage’ at the school in 2001, then I think the next time was after Zoe, although it was never spoken about by Sally we just saw her washing, and then again after Flynn. I love it, they always seem to get the continuity with sally spot on, I hope it continues…
Ryan Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 I'm sure Sally suffered a minor reoccurence briefly just before she got with Flynn.
c120701 Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 I love it, they always seem to get the continuity with sally spot on, I hope it continues… Yes, I loved how she mentioned feeling especially scared after the Mirigini sinking due to how her parent's died - great bit of continuity there.
ste Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 Ooooh I don't remember that. Do you know the episode number? (Sally talking about her real parents is so rare).
alexx Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Is that in the Drop in Centre when she speaks to Flynn about people she loves leaving her – I distinctly remember her saying ‘Tom, Michael…Even Pippa’. Sally has to be one of the greatest characters - her insecurities and such a long history, you really do believe she is real - I think Kate see's her as someone very close to her.
