The National Television Awards

Home and Away is once again nominated in the Best Serial Drama category in the National Television Awards.

It was nominated last year but didn't make it to the final nominations that were shown on the night.

It would be great if this year, even if there is very little chance of it winning, that the show could make it to the nominations on the night. They show a small clip of the show and one of the actors is there to represent the show.

To vote for Home and Away, go to National Television Awards. You can skip the other categories; serial drama is the last category and is the final award presented on the night.

The other nominations in that category are Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

Please vote: if enough people vote the show might get through to the awards ceremony which will be shown on ITV in November.

i have voted for:

Home And Away for 'Most popular serial drama' and

Neighbours for 'Most popular Daytime show'

i would be nice to see an aussie show won something it would show that Aussie shows can be/are as good as the UK shows!

They usually rope someone in who has already left and has moved to the UK but is still on screen here or at least was until recently. (So someone like Kip Gamblin if he could squeeze his enormous head into the albert hall).

He'll probably already be there with Casualty crew, so it'd make the most sense - not that I imagine the bias in this country will allow Home and Away onto the shortlist.

I voted and I’m from Oz, it’d be good to see the show get recognition in the UK. It has won awards over there before hasn’t it? I remember in 2000 I read it won best international soap I think. Also I think during the 90’s it won awards?! (Please correct me if I’m mistaken)

I've voted; I'd love to see H&A win some awards, because I think it deserves to, but I doubt it will. I guess if enough people vote I might get a pleasant surprise :)
