Jonah vs Robbie

When Mumma Rose was pushing Jonah to move things on with Tasha, he said he needed more time, he didn't want to rape her, he wanted to wait until she was ready and willing of her own accord. However, he DID rape her, he didn't want to do it because he knew it was wrong, but he still did it. Did Mumma Rose watch whilst he did it? Couldn't he have lied and just told Mumma Rose he'd done it? At least that would have allowed him a little bit of time to allow his relationship with Tasha to progress naturally without having to resort to raping her!

Whilst he might have been confused and brought up by a deranged, evil witch, he still knew deep down that drugging and raping Tasha was wrong. Yet he still did it. Had he genuinely thought that it really was for her own good and that it was the right thing to do, then maybe I could forgive him, but he knew it was wrong and he still betrayed her and violated her when she had put so much trust in him and given up her old life to be with him.

Exactly! The fact Jonah disagrees with Mumma Rose sometimes shows he DOES know the difference between right and wrong. He isn't a complete idiot. He raped Tasha, kidnapped Martha and did God knows what to Rebecca. I don't think he deserves to be forgiven.

Not forgiving someone who is remorseful is harsh. Forgiveness doesn't mean he doesn't need to atone, or even be punished. I would think that compulsory psychiatric treatment would be more useful than prison in this case. Not that I'm a big fan of prison at any time; I would say it does more harm than good, for young people especially.

I rather hope the Jonah/Tasha/Robbie triangle is over.

I would think though, given the severity of his crimes, forgiveness would be a lot to ask. Maybe one day he could be forgiven, but he would have to prove his remorse first, as it's all too easy to fake it.

Exactly!

The rape issues aside, they have chemistry, Tasha isn't whiny when she's with Jonah and she's very much herself - as Jess says, a free spirit.

The thing is... Jonah has faced up to what he has done. Am I the only one who felt that Jack knew and didn't want him to tell Tasha?

Jonah was about to say something but Jack stopped him.

I might have to rewatch that.

Of course Jonah is sorry (I wholeheartedly believe it's genuine), but if and when Tasha discovers what happens, she wouldn't ever want to be with him.
