Oh yeah! LOL!

I don't think we should include babies who were deliberately named after someone else though...

I always thought that it was stupid having Dan & Dani in the show at the same time, especially as sometimes Dani's name was shortened to Dan. Dan even replaced Dani in the credits shot with Scott.

Maybe they are the same person. Did you ever see them in the same room at the same time?

Tasha Andrews and Tasha Something - girl who hung around with Will in 2000 episodes.

At least with the Scotts they acknowledged it. Remember when Kit met Scott Phillips she said "That's my brother's name"?

Damn and I was just about to say Noah Lawson and Noah Hyde/Smith/Lawson/Hunter or whatever he was called in the end.

Well I know Tim Campbell can't be Tammin Sursok as he can act, and Dan can't be Dani as he isn't a whiny little female dog.

Casey Mitchell and Cassie Turner

Those are two completely different names.

I'm glad someone else pointed it out! I've been trying to sound them out to see if they could be the same in anyway!

Scott Hunter and Kane's brother Scott Phillips.

Then when Scott Phillips came back they were both in it at the same time which made it really confusing

Which should have taught the writers a lesson, but it didn't.

How do you mean exactly, Ste?

Are you saying they shouldn't re-use the same first names for a certain length of time? They would never know for sure if at some point a past character may be written back in (such as Scott Phillips).

I think it's more realistic when two characters have the same first name, even if they are in the show at the same time. Two of my friends are called Richard, three or four are called Mark - I just avoid confusion when talking to people by saying 'Richard from work', 'Mark from Gateshead', etc. I even know a married couple (man and woman) who are both called Leigh (spelt the same way). So their married names are identical.

When Brookside made Jackie Corkhill a regular character, they already had a regular character called Jackie Dixon. Jackie C had been referred to (and probably seen on screen as a guest) long before Jackie D arrived. The writers had Jackie D decide to spell her name Jacqui (this was mentioned on-air), which prevented confusion in episode synposes.
