Tutorials and Icon help

Hi, I have been screencapping quite a bit since my photoshop is out of action until I get my computer fixed and I have a lot of pictures that I think will make really nice avatars but they are really dark. Is it best to use these to do B&W ones or has anyone got any tutorials that might help?

Which photoshop do you use? And with dark pictures it can vary on the quality of the overall pic some pics work well dark with b&w but some dont so just try it. If you still cant then i am sure i can find a tut i did for ya

Hey Zetti, I can't try it until I get my Laptop fixed but ATM I have PSE5 but will be upgrading soon to PSE7.

So I am guessing you havent got selective colouring? send me a few of your pics and I will see what i can do with it and send you a tut of what i can make

Not Yet, But I hope to upgrade once my computer gets fixed (which should hopefully be in the next 3-4 weeks).I'll upload those screencaps later and send you a PM with them

Hey, does anyone know what I could try and do to get my photoshop working?

It keeps coming up with the error: Attempt to access invalid address

I have tried to repair my installation, but it won't get past a certain point

This might be a really dumb question... but how do you flatten an image?

Go to Layer > Flatten Image. Flatten Image is the 2nd to last in the list.
