Emsan Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 A new tutorial from me. I hope you like it [+] - Selective coloring [+] - Channel Mixer [+] - Photoshop only Step 1 My base was a screencap in the beginning, I just lightened it up by duplicating the base and put the duplicated layer on Screen. I think I made that twice for my base. Do as many times you need for your base to look relative bright. Step 2 Create a channel mixer layer (layer>new adjustment layer>channel mixer). Use these settings: Red +74 | 0 | 0 | 0 Green 0 | +100 | 0 | 0 Blue 0 | 0 | +100 | 0 Step 3 Create a selective color layer (layer>new adjustment layer>selective color). Use these settings: Reds -100 | 0 | 0 | 0 Cyans +100 | 0 | 0 | 0 Neutrals +12 | -17 | -12 | 0 Step 4 Now I just added THIS texture. Put the texture on Lighten and then erase those parts that doesn't fit in. Finished!
Zetti Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Please dont distribute without my permission: Geri Halliwell 1. Prepare your base. My base is like this: 2. Go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer>Brightness/Contrast Layer 3. Go to Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Curves> and the first point has input of 101 and output of 102. The second point has input of 147 and output of 167. Then use the dropdown box to go to blue. The first point has input of 131 and output of 117 and the second point has input of 255 and 135. 4. Go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer>Colour Balance Midtones 0, 0, 7 Shadows 0,0,0 Highlights -4, 0, 0 5. Go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer>Selective Colouring and use the dropdown box to go to blacks and put in these values 0, 0, -6, 14. My base now is: 6. Use this texture and put it on colour burn and erase the parts on the skin and areas that makes it looks better to you 7. Go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer>Selective Colouring and use the dropdown box to go to neutrals and put in these values 0, 0, -7, 6. 8. Go to Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Curves> and the first point has input of 54 and output of 65. 9. Use this texture and put it on Softlight: 10. Last step and use this texture and put it on linear dodge and again erase the parts on the skin to make it look better. End Result:
Luc Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Bec (matticus01) requested this We are going from to 1. Prepare your base. Crop, sharpen and all that 2. Duplicate your base, desaturate it (ctrl+shift+u) and set it to screen. Set the opacity to whatever suits the icon. For this one I set it to 56%. Merge down (ctrl+e) 3. Duplicate your new base and set it to ‘soft light’ at 100% opacity 4. Take this gradient and place it above your ‘soft light’ layer. Place it on exclusion at 50% opacity 5. Now, take this gradient and place it on ‘soft light’ at 100% opacity 6. Take this texture (by colorfilter, I think) and place it on screen at 100% opacity 7. Take this texture (again, by colorfilter) and place it on screen. Erase any of the texture that is covering the face 8. Last step ! Take this texture (I can’t remember who by) and again, place it on screen, 100% opacity. I would love to see results !
rockstarrr08 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 I was going to ask how to do this Thanks Luc. I'll show you my results
