Zetti Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 I have recently downloaded brushes but have no idea how to apply them to signatures and avatars. Can anyone help. I use Photoshop CS3
Liska Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I have a problem I have the tree trial of Photoshop CS3 extended. And I don't know how to work with textures. How do you add them?
Jamey-Maria Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 1) Find a texture on LJ or deviant art or any other place you might get textures from. 2) Open it and drag it onto the image. 3) Play with the opactiy and settings e.g 60% on lighten or 40% on colour burn. That's how I do it anyway. If you're talking about the textures that actually come with ps I don't really know, I think they're crap.
Zetti Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 You right click the texture and then go to edit and paste
Zetti Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Tutorial My first ever one!! 1. Crop/Resize till you have a base you are happy with 2. Duplicate base and to screen. Only do this if the pic to dark. 3. Selective Colouring Reds +71 -51 +41 -56 Yellows -52 -19 -57 -34 4. Add a new fill layer with d997e1 at softlight 100% 5. New brightness/contrast layer Brightness +2 Contrast +75 Then you can add whatever you want to it. Comment please. How you think I can maybe improve?
Cerise Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Two PSDs, include Hue/Saturation, Selective Colouring, Curves and Screen/Soft light layers. Made with PSCS3, can be done with any version from 7-CS3, non transatable to PSP, Gimp etc. PSD #1 MELODY Tutorial (Megaupload) Other examples: PSD #2 MATILDA Tutorial (Megaupload) Other Examples:
valli Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Well, I just made my first tutorial It probably sucks though Tutorial for PhotoShop CS2: Going from this to this 1. Crop/resize your image until you’re satisfied. 2. Duplicate your base and set it to hard light 100 %. 3. Create a new fill layer and fill it with #b1f0f4. Set it to soft light 100 %. 4. Create a new adjustment layer and select Photo Filter. Then select Warming Filter (85) and set the density to 29 %. 5. Then create another fill layer and fill it with #07135f. Set it to exclusion 70 %. 6. Then go back to your base and select the burn tool, and use it on face and body (or the main object of the avatar). Then duplicate your base and drag it to the top. Set it to soft light 100 %. 7. Then create yet another fill layer and fill it with #f1cd50. Set it to soft light 100 %. 8. Then create another adjustment layer and select Photo Filter. Then select Cooling Filter (80) and set the density to 37 %. And you’re done! Add brushes, text or textures as you please. If there’s anything that’s not clear enough, then feel free to ask.
