Nim Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 I was wondering if anyone could help me with masking? I have downloaded some brushes like this and I was wondering if anyone could help me to get it to look like this Use the magic wand tool, and go over the black part. Only the black part should now be selected. Hit delete on your keyboard. EDIT: Ok, that doesn't work. Here...I made this: Just apply it in white, as a brush. You could paste the brush on top on your image and set it to lighten/screen.

Eli Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Sorry if this is a really stupid question, because I don't know that much about photoshop, but could anyone tell me how to make my own brushes and save them as a set so I don't have to open them one at the time? Thanks
-Emily- Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Make this: From this: Note: Don't crop your image to begin with, it'll be better and you can play around ;) 1. Duplicate your base and set it to overlay at 100% opacity. Mine looked really bright, so don't worry if yours does. 2. New fill layer. #0692F4 at soft light 100% opacity. 3. New hue/saturation layer. Up the saturation to +19. 4. Merge. 5. NOW crop. 6. Add this: @ soft light 100%. You're done! I'd love to see results ;)
-Emily- Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 No probs! It looks really effective!

SfanS Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Okay... Okay.... I'm bad! I tried some of those on paintshop pro, but i actually find paint and nerosnapshot better and easier, and that's saying something! I don't get ANYTHING! What the heck are brushes!? Where do you donwload them, etc...? All of the controls mare confusing! But, I did mention nero snapshot before, is anyone an expert on that? Does anyone USE that for that matter? perhaps someone could write a tutorial on that...? I hope so.
