Open the cap you want in photoshop, crop it to the pic you want in your av. Then go to image, resize and out in 120 in the width and height boxes. Click ok and then your cap should resize

A new tutorial from me.

Learn how to do this:

Step 1

Crop your cap how you want it.

Step 2

Make a new curves layer to brighten it up (layer>new adjustment layer>curves). Use these settings:

RGB

Output: 151

Input: 88

Step 3

Make another curves layer (layer>new adjustment layer>curves). Use these settings:

RGB

Output: 187

Input: 70

Put this layer on the blending mode Softlight!

Step 4

Make a color balance layer to fix the colors a bit (layer>new adjustment layer>color balance). Use these settings:

Shadows: +18 | +16 | +21

Midtones: +18 | +16 | +21

Highlights: +18 | +16 | +21

Step 5

Now we are going to make a channel mixer layer to change the colors a bit (layer>new adjustment layer>channel mixer). Use these settings:

Red: +100 | +18 | +16 | -21

Green: +18 | +100 | +16 | -21

Blue: +18 | +16 | +100 | -21

Put this layer on the blending mode Color!

Step 6

Time to add some more color, add a selective color layer (layer>new adjustment layer>selective color). Use these settings:

Whites: +100 | 0 | -100 | 0

Step 7

Add another selective color layer (layer>new adjustment layer>selective color). Use these settings:

Reds: -100 | +100 | +100 | +21

Put this layer on the blending mode Color with an opacity of 25%!

Step 8

Make a hue/saturation layer (layer>new adjustment layer>hue/saturation). Use these settings:

Master saturation: +35

Then I added some text by using the font Gautami at size 24 pt. I wrote with capital letters and then I right click on the text layer and chose Blending options. The I checked and clicked Drop shadow.

I used the default settings besides changing the Distance to 2 px and the Size to 2 px.

And you are done!

I was in a tutorial mood so I thought I would make a tutorial for this image:

Xavier Tutorial

1. Prepare the icon and flatten the final prepared image, I duplicated the layer and set it at darker colour.

2. For my image, I created a new curves layer and pressed auto but do it according to your icon, some may not need a curves layer but some may do.

3. Create a new colour balance layer;

· Midtones: -6, 0, 43

4. Create another colour balance layer;

· Midtones: -25, -23, -30

· Shadows: -23, -11, -20

· Highlights: 26, -3, -32

5. Create a selective colouring layer

· Reds: -100, 0, 21, 0

· Yellows: -70, 0, 59, 0

· Neutrals: 59, 0, -24, 0

6. Duplicate the first colour balance layer and move it to the top

7. Create another selective layer

· Neutrals: 100, 20, -17, -25

8. Then you can add whatever else you want.

I would love to see others creations... with changes... be adventurous!

Icon Tutorial

We are creating this icon

Step 1: Prepare your image and when you are satisfied; flatten it.

Step 2: New curves layer- RGB-

· First point; output 43 input 15

· Second point; output 192 input 133

· Third Point; output 220 input 197

Go to the dropdown box and click blue

· Output 255 Input 232

Step 3: New Selective Colouring Layer:

· Blues: 23, 66, -8, -26

· Whites: -20, 0, 23, 1

Step 4: New Vibrance Layer {cs4 only}

Vibrance@ -6

Saturation@ 20

Alternative Step: Note this wont get you the exact same but close enough; Create a new Hue/Saturation Layer and put in these values

Hue@ -4

Saturation@10

Step 5: Colour Balance Layer

Midtones: -76, -37, -36
