I tried it, and it love the colouring so much I had to save it as a .PSD as well Here are three of my results; I have changed some layers though. Mostly it's just adjusting and changing the first two curves layers, and on some I also added an extra selective colouring layer to contrast the images better

Barbara Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Zetti requested a tut for these icons : This is based on a tut I found on livejournal but I didn’t like the results I got. So I deleted and changed a few of the steps and found a colouring I liked. Unfortunately, I didn’t save the original tut as I didn’t like it and I can’t find it anymore. This is the first tut I’ve ever written so if there’s a mistake, just tell me and I’ll correct it. Step 1 Crop your base. Sharpen it if necessary. Step 2 Duplicate your base twice and put both layers on screen. Depending on your image, you might want to duplicate only once or duplicate even more. Step 3 Create a new selective colour layer (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective colour) and fill it with the following settings: Reds: -100 / +20 / +100 / 0 Neutrals: +18 / -12 / -21 / -15 Put it on Normal 40%. Depending on your image, you might want to change the opacity. Step 4 Create a new fill layer (Layer > New fill layer > Solid colour) and fill it with #f5ea6c. Put it on Soft Light 30%. Depending on your image, you might want to change the opacity. Step 5 Create a new selective colour layer (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective colour) and fill it with the following settings: Reds: -100 / -34 / -24 / +100 Yellows: -58 / -25 / -24 / -24 Neutrals: +26 / -14 / -24 / +6 Now you can add text, brushes etc. And you’re done.
