Mumma Rose Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 She is a great character. I still find it hard to believe that she didn't die in the explosion, but it's good that her coming back is going to be such a big storyline.
Emmadolly Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 She has been fantastic to watch, and all the story lines surrounding it. I really have been enjoying all the speculation threads and the posts about it.
angelgirl Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 She has been entertaining to watch(with out the bits where she harms Pete loL)But she is evil trhough and I want her to die(for real this time)
Liz Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Emily is a good actor and very attractive, but her character unfortunately has less levels than a bungalow. She's mediocre to the last degree.
luckyrabbit Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 but her character unfortunately has less levels than a bungalow. Actually I have to disagree with you on that. IMHO, Zoe/Eve is one of the most layered characters the show has ever had. I imagine that the whole spazzy, ditzy "Zoe" persona had to come from somewhere but from what we saw of Eve pre-Stalker, she was calm, professional and maybe a little bit isolated, in other words nothing like "Zoe". Then we have Stalker Eve who is obviously psychotic, vengeful and violent, once again the polar opposite to "Zoe" and what she was like before Sarah. So when you think about it she has more levels than most people on the show eg. Tony, who seems to only exist to be Beth's boyfriend. Does he even have a job? That's 45% of the reason I love her, she has depth. The other 55% is all Emily Perry, I cannot imagine anyone else playing the role so successfully.

Ryan Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 I never felt like I got to know Zoe, twenty seconds just wasn't enough.

Hmmm I understand what you mean but I don't think that's what people mean when they say she's not layered. They're not talking about all her different fake personalities. When I say she's not layered I am talking about evil eve. The REAL eve. She is not layered. She's a one dimensional villain played 90% of the time by a random actor in a black suit, and the rest of the time when the (rather good) Emily Perry DOES get to play her, she really doesn't have anything interesting to do or say.
Liz Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Exactly my point, Ste. Thankyou. In comparison to say, Sarah Lewis or Angie Russell, there is nothing to Eve.
Eve Jacobson Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Exactly my point, Ste. Thankyou. In comparison to say, Sarah Lewis or Angie Russell, there is nothing to Eve. Thats true I suppose. Eve is just far more extreme and lacks the subtlety of Sarh or Angie. I still love Eve though, pure evil is always entertatining.
