awww you like it, as promised heres chapter 2

Chapter 2 (Matilda’s point of view)

My eyelids fluttered open and I saw everyone’s concerned faces looking down at me. Adam was there holding my hand and Lucus was standing next to him looking worried but also as if he was unsure whether to be there or not. The next moment the nurse came; Jack must have gone to get her as he followed behind. The nurse asked everyone to leave as she talked to me alone. Mum was demanding to stay and eventually I gave up because I could never, ever, hide anything from her.

“when Adam found you, you had hit your head on the bath, he was concerned as you weren’t answering his calls and knocks so broke the door down and found you.” The nurse said

“But why did she collapse in the first place?” mum asked impatiently.

“Matilda,” the nurse continued, “you’re twelve weeks pregnant.”

I felt a tear trickle down my face and saw my mums face lose its colour.

“No,” I cried, “it cant be possible.”

“I’ll leave you two alone for the moment,” the nurse said before leaving.

When she left I collapsed into my mums arms and wailed. I eventually calmed myself down and told her the whole story. She cried along with me, upset that I hadn’t told her before, but she was so supportive, I couldn’t have asked her to be nicer. I made her promise not to tell anyone and she agreed, but she told me to talk to Lucus, she said he had a right to know. Between me and mum we decided to say it was food poisoning and she left for the time being.

Beth was subdued when Tony drove her home, and he guessed there was something she wasn’t telling him but didn’t ask any questions as he knew he wouldn’t get any answers.

ps again thanks to Kirsty for proff reading it,

A reason for Maddie and Luke love. Being a ML fic, I'd hope there was... but more Maddie/Luke kiddies running around. Or maybe not... should be good to see where you go with it! Great chapter :)

change of plan here is chapter 3:

Chapter 3

When the doctor gathered the others and told them that it was only food poisoning, they all, except Adam, left as they saw Matilda and Beth deep in conversation. Adam was going to stay but I shouted at him to leave thinking I wanted to be on my own but then for the last 3 months I have shared everything with him I called him back.

Adam knew that he was about to hear the real reason for Matilda’s collapse and his stomach plummeted. He walked slowly over to the chair that he vacated and he also heard the whole story. He nearly cried when she cried, he had really loved her but maybe more as a friend, he had gone through so much with her but knew now that he had to walk away for both there sakes. Matilda had only felt like this with one other person before, which was Lucus, but know when ever she saw him it reminded her of that night she would rather forget. Watching Adam walking away was one of the hardest things she ever had to do. He promised her that he would be there as a friend, a shoulder to cry on, a person who she could pour out her troubles to, but they couldn’t have a relationship, he also promised her it had nothing to do with her being pregnant and Matilda knew deep down that this was right. She needed him as a friend. He also told her to tell Lucus.

”If only things were that easy,” thought Matilda.

please please comment good and bad
