ste Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I'm just re-watching the episodes around the sesquicentenary and the Palace has just been introduced. The kitchen is much smaller and the bathroom is bigger, taking up the whole right hand side of the set instead of just being in the corner at the back. There is also a door in the bathroom leading to the outside. It's weird. Does anyone remember when it changed to the way it later became?

I knew it had, I had arguments with my friends about that and none of them believed me, especially when I said they had a door leading outside from the bathroom.
ste Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I remember thinking it too but this is the first time I've re-watched an episode that confirmed it. We're not mad!
Robbies_Girl Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Thank God! i thought i was the only person who thought this!!! do you have the eppis on your pc or are they videos?
c120701 Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 The Palace was first seen in episode 3272 and I have from 3277 and 3293 on tape, but I can't find any scenes in the palace. I'm almost certain it had changed by 3306, which is when Aimee (the weirdo) moved in. I've not get any other episodes left on tape, so I can't really help much more. I did wonder if it might've changed after the paint party, so the original set was just temporary and we saw the cast painting it etc... and then when we actually saw the finished look, that was the new set (and the set designers had changed it, as the realised how weird it was to have a door leading outside from the bathroom.
Ryan Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 You're out by two, The Palace is seen in 3270 when the new England manager sells them it. Let's hope he got a better deal on it than he did with Massimo Maccarone. 3280 has The Palace as it's the Famine and that has the alternative toilet. When I finish my exams in a week I'll try and see if I come to anything conclusive.

I must've missed that on my video unless I'm out on the numbers on that too, I used tv.com to try to work them out.
alexx Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I was watching the episodes when Hayley was checking it out for the first time and thinking the same thing…

Very discrete!!!! Or not.. ?
