Dan F Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Yeah, the closing credits DID sound jarring IMO. We lost the opening credits though, I suppose we can't really hope for much more from Five, that was a miracle in itself! Not really as bad as Oz though, when they had the emotional funeral promo ruined by flippin Tasha finally coming to her senses.

We lost the opening credits though, I suppose we can't really hope for much more from Five, that was a miracle in itself! My thoughts exactly,I was very curious and a bit wary to be honest of how Five would treat it,the loss of the opening credits was a great move and so I thought was the ident they used before it began too. The only thing, and this is being picky, were the sponser adverts..still I am being picky and I guess something has to pay for it to be there eh! I always find it slightly ironic that Five avoid scenes of flashing light images in H&A, yet that indent that they used today with the lightening I would personally class as flashing images.
ste Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I can see what you mean about the closing credits being jarring but actually they were great compared to what the Australian version. Flynn's death was rudely interrupted by a loud brash promo about Tasha and the Believers! Now *that* was jarring! At least the closing theme (as upbeat as it is) allowed us to contemplate over the episode for a minute.

I'll be so glad when its over- its quite a good storyline but its so frustrating there are no words.
Jess Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I'm half glad we don't have promos here - the Tasha one interrupting Flynn's death sounds annoying. Although I *love* the Week 22 one.... That was the other thing that annoyed me tonight, I wish they'd toned the sponsor thing down a bit, just for one night, out of respect for Summer Bay's SuperDoc! It pulled me back to reality far too soon!
geniedi Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Havnt cried yet. What started me off last time was when Ric said I love you dad.So ill prob cry then. That's what got me too. Thought it was done very well. I do wonder what will happen if/when Sally finds out about Belle helping him down the stairs and robbing them of some extra time. I can't remember Flynn mentioning her at all either though.
MarMar Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Does anyone have opportunity to upload the ending?

Sally: Did you fall? Flynn: I just woke up and Alf came inn.
slacey6 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I cried and cried when i watched it. I was glad that they did not show the opening credits. See ya Flynn You will be truly missed. Goodbye and Goodnight.
c120701 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Did the actors actually get credited in the episode then? Did they just have the names come across the screen at the beginning, or did they list them in the closing credits. Sorry, I missed the first few minutes of the episode, which is why I keep asking this stuff, and I didn't know the opening credits didn't air to check the closing sequence.
