vikkysmile Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Just watched it and i was in tears near the end. I lost my dad to cancer in 2004 which i will never forget. The acting was great and was 100%. It was nice the family went in one by one and said goodbye there own way.
Tulip Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 The episode was amazing. I nearly cried, it was so sad. At first I though 'is Sally ever gonna get a chance to say goodbye" but the episode was perfect. I loved how they had no opening credits - it was have been inappropriate. The whole thing was perfect and overwhelming - I really hope the next episodes are of the same amazing standard. I hope they show the scene where Sally tells the kids - I think that will be really powerful. Also to see Ric and Belle's next encounter - how he will deal with her.
xGlowingAngelx Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 That was so sad! I am still crying now! I'm running out of tears here! lol. I've got that lovely wallpaper on my desktop! :'( Goodbye Flynnxxxxxx
emmy Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Great acting I must say. Made me sob! Bye bye Flynn xxxx
mrfisher_uk Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Great episode, I don't normally post on here but it was so well done I had to contribute. Why was Belle credited on the closing titles when she didn't appear I wonder? RE the sound error, it was muffled for about 30 secs through NTL Digital but was still OK. The episode itself was painful to watch, Kate and Joel were fantastic, but the performances of Mark and Sharni were so gut-wrenching :-( Alf too, never though i'd see the day where he shed a tear. Wish the channel 5 announcer had kept her gob shut for once though, don't think we've ever had a silent or voice-over-less end credits on 5, and this episode deserved it, but she still had to plug 2 and a half Men!
Tulip Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 As someone else said, the scenes with Alf crying and with Ric saying "I love you dad" were really powerful. I think also when Flynn took Alf's hand and when Flynn said goodbye to Pippa were amazing. What I didn't like was how when they were dancing, the song practically cut out afterwards. I thought they could have faded it more effectively. Until now I haven't realised what a great character Flynn is but I think there will be a gap in the show now he's gone. I really hope the actors get some kind of award for their performances. Will be interesting to see the other characters' reactions, particularly Leah. I thought she would've said goodbye as she was there and also they did once kiss.
home and away fan Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 bye bye Flynn, missing you already
Lia Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 No need to remove my make up tonight... it all went in the flood of tears after today's episode. I sobbed my way through several tissues from the first minute to about 5 minutes ago - in fact I've still got those hicuppy annoying sobs every couple of seconds. Fantastic acting... I have to say I never really warmed to this Flynn UNTIL this storyline. He did it perfectly. I'm a belated Flynn-Fan.
Reo Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Did anyone else think that Ric should have seen Flynn before pippa,i know he didnt want to and that was meant to leave us wondering whether he would in time.. But i think him seeing Ric then Pippa and then Sally putting Pippa to bed and coming back in to see Flynn breaking down after saying goodbye to her would have been better and sadder.
ste Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I'm not bothered about him seeing Pippa before Ric but I do think Ric came in too soon after Flynn said goodbye to Pippa. They could have dwelt on that moment a little longer I think. Other than that a perfect episode.
