xaphania Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I'm watching the funeral episode and I have a lump in my throat. It's so sad
Ryan Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 http://www.backtothebay.net/cast/bio/saunders_ashley.shtml To mark, in most probablility her last appearance, a character bio.
Reo Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I saw the episode awhile ago and watching it again wasnt as sad for me,mainly beacuse i knew there was going to be a jonah, tasha, martha, robbie moment which spoilt the whole episode.. But i did like the church scenes and sally trying to cope in her own way. Did it go through anyone elses head that sally was standing in the water which flynn's ashes were going in and then onto her legs... Also was that meant to be ric that goes to sally or 'flynn' to turn her around and see the bay with candles?
Tulip Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Another breathtaking episode. Loved the candlit vigil. I thought it could've been a bit longer though. I loved Colleen and Cassie reading the poem; reminds me of when Drew died in Neighbours and Harold helped Libby read the poem. I liked Dan's speech best of all and also the shots of Pippa in Sally's arms. But Sally was right that no-one seemed too bothered. Robbie was more bothered about Tasha, as was Martha. Kim was pre-occupied with Rachel and Peter was obsessing over Leah. Seriously guys, show some respect!
ste Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Well they did at the end after Alf obviously had a word with them all!
silvernlilac Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Did anyone notice how different colleen sounded when she helped cassie read the poem. The candlelight vigil was so beautiful. For some reason I thought the ashes would be dropped from the cliff, but im probably thinking of noahs funeral which took part on the top of the cliff I think
Ross Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Colleen's posh voice and "diiiieeee" Nice sentiment though. I loved that Colleen helped Cassie - that was really emotional - but I have to admit I held back a smile when Colleen said that.
Tulip Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I asked this is the discussion thread but does anyone know for sure: did Five cut today's episode? The Five website shows a video of Flynn being played at the funeral but it didn't happen. Also, the vigil scene seemed short. Was yesterday's episode cut as well? It would explain the swift end of Sally and Flynn's song they were dancing too.
lozzyc Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 ah that was so sad brilliant acting from everyone involved
Dan F Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 There were no cuts made by five, the bit with Flynn on a TV Screen was cut from the original episode by Seven, though the publicity picture was still released for some reason (I have it but didn't upload it onto the site) The music cut out suddenly yesterday as that was where the Australian broadcast had it's last advert break, and the music faded out over their break bumper - Five however fade out before their break bumper, which always sounds really bad
