lol. do I dare guess which former SB residents are hiding out as witches/wizards?

Siremus is interesting to say the least. I'd love to read the fic all the same. It sounds highly amusing, yet wonderfully deep and dark.

Let us just say that the fic centers on a certain large family who have had certain sudden deaths therein, which may or may not be the works of dark witches or wizards unknown...

I've said too much.

And yet i'm hooked. Well. I guess there could be a holiday in there. If you do want to send its through, we can post it up as a solitary entry, and yours the only anonymous entry can have feedback.

Hehe. Well I'd probably be able to get to 2 chapters worth for a decent covering of the concept before the due date. I'll see what I can do :P

Wow Emmasi, you've got me hooked too. Siremus - nice! I can't wait to read it.

I did say I would attempt an entry. And I did attempt one...It got to about 100 words long and I hit a hard brick wall. But seeing as there is a lack of entries I'll do my best to make it somewhat plausable as a piece of medicre writing. I don't fancy it being pitted against a thrilling HP/H&A crossover though!

Don't worry to much about it Jess, it was a good topic. You and Kat had the right idea keeping it open. Specific ones can be too restrictive and predictable. Hopefully the FFC will pick up again after this. Not that I can talk...I disappeared from this whole forum for a long time...You should enter a lame one anyway Jess...three entries isn't as tragic as two, and I highly doubt it would be lame anyway.

Gosh...now I'm really curious about the Siremus/HunterSummer Bay Family "holiday".

lol. Yeah, I don't think it's too fair cashing in on the HP phenomenon on the release date of the final book...

If this particular comp fizzles, don't take it personally. I love them, I've just had an insane amount of stuff on this week. All while dealing with the flu :(. I can only hope that mild delerium makes for interesting reading :P

I think its a shame that you havent had entries so far..I like watching one before I take part,so there is a good chance I will take part in the next one if I have a idea or if there is a next one..

But hopefully there will be some this time round.

I'm sure you'll come up with something, Kat :D. I always find it best to write when I feel like it and not just because I feel I need to meet a deadline. Although in this case...the deadline is pretty close :P. Just write something and I'm sure the words will start coming eventually. When it comes to ideas I find it best to think through the important stuff first, like...who are the main characters going to be? What are they going to be doing? Where is it going to be set? Is it going to be a sad one-shot with a happy ending or is it going to be a happy one-shot with a sad ending? What are the main events going to be? Questions like that are good to ask because they usually give you an idea of what you are going to be writing instead of just doodling along not knowing what to write.

I also find it useful to type up the storyline ideas I have for what could happen, and then ask myself if it's realistic.

The writing is important, but having fun while your writing usually gets the ideas flowing better and thus the writing sounds better too.

Also in this case, try and forget about the deadline. Just say to yourself you have all the time in the world, because I find that takes the pressure off of trying to get it finished in time.

I hope some of that helps. I'm sure that if you do enter, Kat, your entry will be great! :D
