Idea forming... You guys know the reviewing thing, and how it helps everyone's writing and all? Why not form a review GROUP. It's a weird idea, but I bet it would really help a lot of people. Say, you write, two pieces, even if it was a chapter of your on-going fic, and PM it to someone, like everyone passes to the left of a circle. Then, that person gives one tip, like 'How about a better word than 'wonderful'? Or something oike that, and pass it again. It's a weird idea, but I think it'd be fun!

I'm in the mood to challenge myself. A month's plenty of time I think. I just hope I'm not totally busy. But yea, I love the sound of this, can't wait.
Eli Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Oh my God, that was almost exactly the challenge I had planned to do if I ever got to host the challenge I think it's really great, it can be very interesting because when you have very few words I think it will be more obvious which stories stands out as really good! I'll try to enter this time

Basically, you write an entry according to the guidelines specified by the host (who in this case is sevenpuddings (Jess) and the guidelines are just above). Once your entry is finished you send it to Jess by the deadline and you can ask for her to proof read it for you if you like. Then when the deadline arrives, Jess will post all the entries in one thread and people will basically review all of the stories. But the reviews will be long and useful, with suggestions on how to improve and stuff, so I find it has really helped my writing! Hopefully I haven't gone and confused you more!

I don't think it could be explained any better but it just takes me a while to comprehend instructions sometimes. It says one or two pieces. So, in theory, we could be writing up to 1000 words for this challenge if we wanted to? I assume that if we did do two they would have to be different and unrelated... is that right?

Yep, the have the be completely unrelated and different, otherwise it could potentially be a 1000 word story which would defeat the purpose of the challenge.
